  1. Now, this is an excellent build... I love this truck... I've been trying to figure out a way to fab up one of these, myself.... I even thought about using wood, as well... I, also have another stalled project that I though about using wood for... I think I will, after seeing this one.... It doesn't seem as crazy an idea, now... Thanks, Man... VERY nice build... Too cool....

  2. Yeah!!!! There you go... That's what I'm talking about... I told you, you'd get it... It looks awesome, and you know, I like the color!!! It's BEAUTIFUL!!! It just makes so much more sense, this way... Just as we discussed... I've wanted to build it this way for a while, now... You beat me to it!!! 😆 But I am glad to see you're getting it done, and as well executed as this... Still a 5 car hauler, but way nicer looking...Then again, you just may be able to fit a Datsun on the back, LOL!!! Oh, and the International is a great choice with that long frame... Justifies the length....I'm very pleased to see this...Keep it up...

only the kits were 40% off;  the Corvettes weren't on sale ($19.99 each), and I got the last 2

Maisto seems to have better quality than Motor Max, which also makes the diecast 2020 Corvette

Ok... At least I know they're consistent with the pricing....

I try to buy Maisto's stuff, mostly... Motormax and Jada with those dog leg doors really kill the overall presentation of their models... They look good, as long as you don't display them with the doors open...😁 Maisto is WAY better at the door thing, for sure.... That's why I bought them...

I think the intent of the closed hood and trunk are so another version can be made as a kit like some of the other Maisto cars and trucks.  I just picked up both of these colors today at Hobby Lobby, in addition to the Atlantis B-24J Liberator, MPC Schwinn Continental and AMT '70 Impala.

I can only assume you went when they had a 40% off sale on models... I'm curious... Were you able to purchase the Vettes at 40% off, as well... They won't at my local HL... Waiting on Walgreens and CVS, I guess...

  5. A lot of Jada's trucks are excellent, Rick, but I'm not sure about the scaling on this one... It seems a little big, to me... But, that's just nit picking... Overall, it's a pretty good likeness, though... I like the removable top, too... Should be just fine as a stand alone shelf model, for sure... Nice...

Thank you for the kind words. The southwest-style blanket was done by stippling the pattern in with black and brown ultra fine point sharpies. Those markers sure come in handy.

I agree...Those markers are awesome... I use them for headlight surrounds and such... Never used them much for interior work, though... Like I said, great idea for the blankie...

  7. That is is awesome... Very nice work... I JUST snagged one of those long reach cherry pickers, and a short reach off ebay a couple months ago... I just missed a listing with all 4 that were produced, but I couldn't get my money right.... I was just about to do a little research on them to see what I could do to them... Your pics will be a big help with that...

I've seen Dan's, and it's pretty nice... I've got my eye on a pole setter, too... Hoping to get a decent price, is all... We'll see, though...

Really nice work on that pole trailer... I laughed at one that was priced at, like $100... I'm thinking, I can totally scratch that up with not much effort... Yours is way more awesome than that one, by the way...

    Awesome work, Man!!!
