  1. Super cool build! 8) What scale is it?
  2. Wow! Very cool. What kits did you use for this? I think I see a Lindberg Minivan front clip....right? I'm assuming the Copperhead played a part in this too? In any case, you did a great job on it!
  3. Thanks guys. That's an old build, so maybe I'll get around to posting some more recent stuff. Michael, you've almost got it. In 1982, both Kyle and Richard drove STP sponsored cars with the identical paint scheme, just with the colors reversed. Every now and again, they would swap numbers to do the point thing, but Kyle got 7-11 sponsorship in 1983 and changed from #42 to #7 while Richard used the same paint sheme he had in '82 just with reversed colors. I hope that wasn't too confusing. :|
  4. I either go to the Hobbytown in New Milford or get my stuff online from Kevin at Strada Sports. I miss the Ice House, but I talked to Howard a few weeks ago, and he's still thinking of ways to open another shop in Danbury somehow......if he can get his butt out of Florida!
  5. Check Ebay Motors. People usually list thier cars with tons of nice modeler-friendly photos, and the engine bay detail would pretty much be the same from year to year. The only real glaring difference in that run would be the front bench seat for the first year of the SS. Those were great cars. I had an'86 for a couple years. Great daily driver.
  6. 1 ) Any new F1 in the Tamiya 1/20 line (the new Ferrari, McLaren, and Honda are particularly nice) 2 ) Any new LMP 3 ) Bentley Speed 8 (I know it was done in resin, but I want one in plastic so I don't have to refinanace my house for one) 4 ) New funny car 5 ) New Pro-Stock 6 ) Bentley Speed 8 7 ) McLaren F1-GTR 8 ) Bentley Speed 8 9 ) 2001 Chevy S-10 ZR2 (so I can model my current ride) 10 ) Bentley Speed 8
  7. Sweet! Another Litchfield County resident. Doug, I remember seeing your increible Corvair build at Ice House Hobbies, which I used to frequent way too much for my wallet to bear.
  8. Yeah, I don't know what Porsche was thinking with those, but Mike, this build is absolutely killer! Your paint work is top notch, and it's a great color for this car too!
  9. I don't think my 1:1 car has that much detail! That's incredible! What a build!
  10. Such a beautiful car, and your build does it justice! That paint is insane slick!
  11. Wow. That paint looks awesome!!! Love the color. It's perfect for that car.
  12. This is one I built a few years ago. Basically a box stock build with Tamiya colors and clear, and a window net made from thin strips of medical tape colored with a red Sharpie. I used bits and pieces from several decal sheets and hand cut white decal for the stripes as the Monogram Petty combo kit represents the 1982 car, which is essentially the same with the colors reversed.
  13. Hi all. I just joined the board, and I see a lot of familiar names here. I hope to see a bunch of youse guys at NNL East in a couple weeks!
