  1. Welcome to this forum. You'll pick up a lot of tips here plus you will also make some great online friends.
  2. I stumbled upon this thread about 3 1/2 days ago. And for the last 3 1/2 days in my spare time I have read the complete thread. Many encouraging words have been spoken but Bill I don't think there are any words in the English dictionary that can truly describe the work you have done here. My advice is start buying stock in the companies that make milling machines because I think you are going to see an increase in sales Every now and then somebody comes along with a vision and an impossible task. You, Bill, have taken your vision and with hard work and determination you are bringing that vision to life. You have taken this hobby to the next level. I will be looking forward to seeing your vision completed.
  3. I'm with Slusher.
  4. Welcome. Nice looking trucks.
  5. I thought I read somewhere that Barnes & Noble was going to start selling the magazine. I've been checking for the past month and still none.
  6. Great idea. I'm going to try this. Thank you.
  7. Thanks guys. I really appreciate your input.
  8. Can anyone tell me the quality of Model King models? They have a 51 Henry J gasser very similar to the one I had but did not want to purchase it if the quality is not there.
  9. This is what it will probably look like in another couple of weeks
  10. Here are a couple of pictures of my workbench as of Sunday. Now remember, I've only been at this about 3 months.
  11. Thanks guys for helping a newbie.
  12. Okay, I was able to post a picture now how do I make it larger so you can see it.
  13. Okay, hope nobody gets upset but let's see if this works.
  14. I would like to post them from my computer.
  15. Jim, that sounds like a great idea.
  16. Is there a tutorial anywhere on this forum for posting pitures?
  17. Thank to all of you for the info. Gluing it is!
  18. I'm new to this forum. I've visited it many times and was inspired and also amazed of the workmanship of models I've seen here. I just got back into model building after being away from it for over 40 years. My grandsons have become interested in it and I've enjoyed many a weekend working on model cars with them. My question is do most of you glue your wheels to the chassis so that don't rotate? I've seen a video by DR. Cranky using a jig to square up his wheels & tires to the frame which appeared to do just that.
  19. I'm in the middle of redoing my shop. My wife got me another table for Christmas (Ya I'm bad, I peeked). So as soon as I get it finished and when I can figure out how to post pictures (I'm a little technology illiterate)I'll post some pictures. This will be a good thread.
  20. New to this forum but I also want to wish everybody Merry Christmas and health and happiness in the New Year. By the way, the world didn't end today. Must have been a bad Mayan joke.
