  1. I read a trick to make windows seem a lil crisper/cleaner but its escaped me now. I bought a model off ebay, windows are a lil foggy for me. It came without the wrap on box, not like a pic showed
  2. Cotton balls stretched out, if you already didn't know...
  3. Throw some stretched out cotton balls behind your tires for smoke. Works great!!
  4. The only model I have left from the past decade plus.. Most lost to dust, lol.. IJK, moved to much. Wheels are from a Tamiya "Zakspeed" Ford Capri(euro mustang) touring car. Ordered some Slixx brand decals and got to work. Paint is awful, 10 min job/ bad paint. Engine was turbo 4cyl, removed now waiting for my resin Boss 429.
  5. Which is best route to go for building a model? Do you scuff and prime/paint everything on their racks then assemble and repaint? Do you assemble, then sand, prime/paint? In the past i've always done a lil of both..
  6. I see alot of people using super glue. Is it testors brand super glue? Super glue drys to quick doesn't it? Is the clear gue(for windows) strong?
  7. Hex shaped, just paint it with metalizer then some clear red and blues, correct? Im gonna atleast try it, even tho im sure i'll just by already made ones for the price.
  8. I was lookin in bead section. There was too much. Really don't know, sizes were all different. What type? Treasure beads?
  9. Thank you sir. Those are nice. The "hex" fittings for the ends of the hose is killin me tho, lol$$$$$$
  10. Gonna do some coolant and oil/fuel lines on my Lincoln Mk7 Dragster. What sizes should these be? Who has best looking braided hoses?
  11. Yep, I seen that too. Mite get some next time im out. But does this sound right? Rub again after 24hrs? What does this acid do exactly?
  12. Drop decal in (distilled)water. Apply "Decal Set" lightly with a brush. Throw decal on. Wait a minute or so. Apply Decal Set again over top of decal once a lil dry. Wait 24hrs and apply Decal Set once again. Correct?
  13. You don't know length of those by chance? This pro stock motor's Distributor is mounted horizontal as opposed to a regular V8, that sits vertical. It sits under the cold air intake, pointing towards the driver side. Base of dist is where it should be, up front, just sits sideways. To reach the passenger side plugs their gonna have to be super long.
  14. Maybe I should have mentioned above I was and still am a Machinist for 14yrs now. I got plastic, digital(i dont like), mititoyo japanese steel linear calipers as well and inside/outside mics, bore mics, etc. See my avatar, Im sitting in the enine bay of my car, rebuilding the whole motor. I doubt im gonna break out any measuring tools for this model. Black and white knowledge isn't the same as experience!!! You guys put together some good scale stuff!!!! Thats what Im after
  15. I was thinkin a distributor by parks or detail masters or if anyone knows any better ones let me know. Im building a Lincoln LSC pro street by Revell. What size drill bits and whos got a good deal on those pen vices?
  16. Just wanna get some suggestions. Never tried it before clear coat, got a sheet of contengency stickers comin from SLIXX decals. Heard they were goin out of business, shame!!
  17. New to all this but Im not also. I have a 1/24 scale Lincoln Mark 8 Pro Street model. Plan to do braided hoses/AN fittings etc. Haven't really found any specifics on these hoses but to go to a aftermarket website and buy them. The craft store had too much wire and bead crimps and stuff for me to decifier the correct sizes. Prob get a aftermarket distributor for sure. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!!!!!!!! Great site.
