  1. Wow! That's one real nice "art deco" truck! I really like it, especially the Stovebolt motor. What kit is that? I musta overlooked it somewhere. I love old Chevy trucks (mine's a 64) and I'd like to have one of each generation. Again, congrats on a real sweet build.
  2. That's just beautiful, man. Great work.
  3. The 1:1 El Camino version was called the Black Knight in 78 and Royal Knight in 79. It had hood graphics a lot like the Firebird's "flaming chicken" design. I can't remember if it had a "Don Quixote" type graphic on the tailgate or not..I kinda think it did. Phoenix Graphics, an aftermarket supplier, makes a "Black Knight" set for a 1:1 El Camino. A quick web search took me to this page: http://www.hobbylinc.com/htm/rmx/rmx852979.htm It describes the 78 Revell/Monogram El Camino Lowrider kit as including the Black Knight decals. hth,
  4. Hi. I'm Ray and I'm an automotive addict. I've been hooked on vehicles of one sort or another since my father put a model of a then-contemporary Indy car in my crib with me in 1947. It was downhill from then on. I've been building models off and on for about 50 years...but I've just recently returned to building after a 15-year hiatus, while I worked mainly on full-sized projects. Over the last few years my health has kinda deteriorated and this past winter I've been tethered to an oxygen tube. (And I quit smokin about 13 years ago!) That's kept me from workin on the Model A pickup in the garage...so I got back to building models. One of my current projects is a scale replication of a 67 Camaro I sold a couple of years ago: There are pics of the builds I've done since I jumped back into modeling here: http://www.chevyasylum.com/models/ Greetings to those folks I recognize from other boards.
