I failed to mention how awsome the rod ends from R&B are and how easy they are to join to the tubing . I will get some more work done on the weekend on the front end and Lenco mounts. Could anyone tell me where is the best place to get coil springs thanks.

Hi guys . It has been a bit slow lately but still pluging along. I recieved my parts yesterday and they are some amazing work , so i started to build the controll arms for the front struts figure out the location for the R & P and top bracket . It took a while to think how to make the arms so here is a few photos . Their is so much planing on this type of build and chassis building but it is fun and i just love the look of a tuff Drag Car especially Doorslamers thanks Darryl. Found some old tyres in the parts box and thought they might be good so I had to cut them down as they were to big (round in size) even the Revell F/Car tyres. Done a lot of these over time . Flashpoint tyres.

Hi guys just a couple of photos for a question I would like to ask about is do you think the rear wing on the back is the style for this car or should i go to a different style like a bigger Pro Mod . The wing is in its early stages would look better cleaned up . I would appreciate your feedback thanks Darryl. I did not realise till i was posting these photos that the front of the car was not long enough in the front section between the wheelarches . I thought their was something wrong as it did not look right in proportion to the rest of the body . You can see the difference in this photo of my other car I did the body on a 1/25 350 Z . P.S. This has been on the back bench for some time .

Thanks for the feedback and your suport as this is the first i have ever posted anything on my modelbuilding and i am not to good with words at all . I have done a bit more but progress is a little slow as i redone some parts i was not happy with . I made the seat frames today and just have to fit to the seat when i get some bolts and solder the brackets to the chassis . I have just about finished the chassis just waiting for the rear shocks and front struts so it is a rolling unit . It sometimes seems its not going to end with all the chassis work and all the bars to weld in but i am thinkin it will turn out alright .On with the photos. Hope the photos are okay and will have more progress soon . I think i will do some on thr engine thanks guys Darryl.

Hi thanks for the kind words and i will do my best to turn it into a killer 350Z . A few more photos after chopping the roof and adding some plastic in front of the windscrean and a bit more sanding to ready it for Bondo. In Australia we call it BOG . Thanks for all the replies and i will do my best to turn it into a killer 350Z . The hardest part will be building the Nissan V6 all the rest of the running gear is close to P/M . If its okay i thought i would put in 1 or 2 photos of a 29 Ford Woody I built about 10 years ago cause i love A Model Fords . I own a 29 Roadster P/UP Street Rod thanks Darryl. When i do this type of work i use a lot of ZAP ( zap a gap ) glue with Bicarb Soda it works quick and hard as a rock and bondo stickes to it good too see ya.

Thanks Bill its coming along slowly. I think one of the hardest part of the build will be the paint scheme and decal placement . Their is a little trick i had a custom painter show me a long time ago and that is if you get a photo (has to be the right type of paper) of what you want and put one or two coats of Lacquer clear on it (thin) place it in water till the paper is soaked , then gently rub off the paper and you are left with the rest (the clear takes out the colour ) looks just like a decal and then you put it on what you want and their you have it a decal that wont never crinkle, shrink, crack ect. I have done lots like this as large as bike tanks and little cartoon capers on edge of panels of Hot Rods . I still recon your Hemi engine will start up with a little fuel .

Hi Bill it is really something mate . The work is unbelievable without a dought . I have been building models for a long time and i have never seen anything like it . I tell you i feel like a novis when looking at your work and hope my project turnes out half that good mate i will be over the moon . If i lived over the road from you i would have to come and shake your hand . I recon everybody would have to agree it is just awsome thanks Darryl.

Hi just starting work on a new Drag Car but first i have to build the body and that is no easy task as you cant find much of it around . So i started with a Remote Controll body i bought at Kmart (had to buy the whole thing) and proceded to cut it up , well to start with it was suposed to be a 1/16 but more like a 1/20 or what but i dont know but here we go . Its not preety so far but we will get there . I am wanting to build a car campained by George Lazcanos (Lazcanos Racing) you can see photos on the Web it is an awsome machine . Well i will do my best as i have already done a 1/25 scale body of a 350Z , its just bigger hay see ya .

Hi back again with some more progress on the build. Made the engine mounts on the chassis and a plate for the motor to bolt to and a plate for the Blower restraints under the injector hat , and a base for the hat a little different . I made some brackets at the back for body mounts and a part of the firewall so pictures .

Hi , I have been busy with my work but were on the move again and before i go any further i will put some photos on of the vehicle I am baseing my build on but it will be built with a 2013 style as we all know how P/M & T/D are today. (Wild looking ). Have been doing a lot of set up the last week checking that it all fits and build the Lenco three speed and starting on the diff .I will be running a PSI and the hat i have been messing around with will stay . The M/W rear end is starting to look good . I am just waiting for some parts to come from Jim at Micro Nitro to finish off the diff. The parts from M/N are awsome stuff. So that is it for a while will be back soon Darryl.

Hi just going to start a project I have wanted to do for a long while as I have been a keen modeler for a long time and it's a Pro Mod as we call them in Australia (Top Doorslammers). I am basing my build on a vehicle that raced in the 1989-99 era Peter Gratz Dodge Daytona very fast car so if you want you can see photos of it on the Web but i will try to put some photos on later. So far I have got the layout done and some photos of the Chassis to date as I have been working on it for about 2 weeks. It's lots of fun and frustrating. So here we go. Start the build. This is the stance it will sit when finished. Do hope the photos are good and the chassis so far. This is the chassis so far and i am using a small butane torch to weld thanks see you soon.
