Now THATS cool!! ?

88 Ford ranger shortbed that someone had swapped in a Chevy 350 with a Hurst shift kit, ford 9 inch rear and fender well headers. They had taken out the brake booster to make room for the engine, which left only drum brakes. Went like stink in a straight line, but braking, not so much!! I owned it for about 2 weeks and sold it. That thing was FAST, but to scary for my taste.

I’d be in for 1 or 2. I love old buses. ?

Outstanding build Hermann!! I have been following your build thread from the beginning. Love the detail work. ??

Very true. Your righ. You might be able to come up with some sort of clamp system to hold an insert / tool holder, but you could forget about any kind of accuracy. With no way of touching off and no cross feed. I wouldn't try it. I've tried some pretty sketchy stuff on my lathe at work, and still have all my fingers.

For harder metals, yes. That is too fast, but for aluminum, you have to use higher speeds to get a smoother finish. Aluminum doesn't "cut" like regular metals. It's an alloy. It has to be sliced. Try using a regular cutting insert to machine aluminum, and it will look horrible when your done.

You watching their 300,000 dollar Riv build ?
Have they finished it yet? Last I saw, they were gonna miss the SEMA show with it.

I didn't think it looked too bad from the pic. That shade of red looks GOOD on that T-bolt.? What color did you use on the rims? Is it straight silver? It has a nice subdued look. I can never get BMF to co- operate myself. I've waisted more money trying to get it to work, but between the adhesive being less tacky, and my fat fingers, not a good combo. Good work so far.

Most kids would probably hop on it and ride it around the store. Probably some alleged adults too.

They denied the charge, but only if I agreed to accept a new card, the logic being "Well, someone has hacked your number, they could run up other charges on it."
Keep an eye on that card for future small charges like that. That's how it starts. If someone hacked your card, they try to charge small stuff like that to see if you catch it. If not, it gets worse. Wife's Cabellas card got hacked, shut it down, and they gave us a temp card number over the phone till the new card came in. Got a notification THAT number had been hacked/ used even before we got the new card!! Lady from the card company said we were responsible for the charges!! The only 2 people who knew of the new # were the wife, and the card company...... We told them quite clearly where they could stuff that card AND the bogus charges....

Oohhhhhh, I LIKE that. Sharp aircraft and sharp build sir!! ?? I'm currently working on the 109 G-6

I fell off a ladder yesterday while cleaning out the gutters. I was using my 10 ft. ladder as always, but it doesn't allow my to easily reach into the gutter at one side of the house where the ground starts to drop off toward the back yard. Standing at the very top of the 10 footer I can just reach into the gutter over my head. My good neighbor said a should try his extension ladder as it is somewhat taller. For those not familiar with extension ladders, much like myself, they can be very unstable since you only have two "feet" that support the ladder and they are about the size of a 2"x4" turned on it's side. While I put a 1"x6" under the feet to help stabilize the ladder in the mulch of the flower bed it still started to slide off too one side as I was coming down the ladder. I was still about 6' in the air when the ladder went one way and I went the other. I landed very hard while trying to break my fall with my right hand and shoulder before my head hit the ground. Last night I just had a head ache and sort wrist and shoulder with a few scrapes. This morning I feel like I've been beaten with a baseball bat. Next time I'll be hiring someone else for this job. I never liked heights anyway.
Went through something similar last year. Fell about 4-5 feet onto hard packed dirt/ concrete sidewalk. I put my arms out to help break the fall, but got a radial head fracture in my left arm instead. Still hurts like mad during damp weather.

More aches and pains, knowing it's going to rain before the weather guy does because every joint in my body hurts from years of hard work. But just sitting back and thinking back through all those years. Reagan was still in office when I joined the Army. Bob said it best." 20 years. Where'd they go. 20 years, I don't know. I sit and I wonder sometimes where they've gone". Truer words were never spoken in my case, except that it's more like 30 years..I don't think I can afford a midlife crisis cuz I'm too busy buying all the new release models .

Same here Ken!! Always a pleasure trading with you. Thanks for the great trade.
