  1. To answer Teddy J Tannehill 's post of March 12 ( sorry for such a long time to answer ). I have cut and fitted Clear Plastic ( as used in covering for different things, household items & small tools such as a sprue cutter ) Want to find something to use for a very slight tint for the side glasses -- such as window tint film -- but very light tint... Its easy to cut and shape, and fairly abundant....May not be as thick as the windows that come with a kit but I think it will be OK.. Thanks for asking.... Tom
  2. Thank You , to those who commented on Project 67 -- 442 station wagon.. I have been away from it for a couple months due to a contest project for another forum, but I will return to it.. Have learned a lot in the last couple months that can and will be incorporated into the completion of this Project. Stay tuned more to come soon... Thanks again Tom

  12. Lee. Click on the Pictures they should enlarge.. Fred. Yes Sirrrr I wish I still had it ! ! ! Along with a whole slew of car's I once owned..but don't we all....
  13. Also the suspension has front shocks inside the REAL Coil Spring's - front and rear. Rear shocks are adjustable for ride height as I had a problem with one of the mock up's for ride height. Also forgot to add my favorite Engine Pic..Also has brake lines with splitters front and rear allowing fluid to run to left and right sides front and rear..Fuel lines from Tank to fuel Pump and up to carb's..Throttle linkage -Heater Hoses -By pass water hose -Generator Wires - master cylinder line down to splitter - wires running form fire wall to Voltage Regulator - Scratch built upper -lower-rear Generator mount brackets - Starter will also be wired when I install it as well as dist wire's with vacuum advance line.. Again Thanks for looking... Tom
  14. Hi All.. Started a new project--the 67 442 Wagon is on hold for a while..This is a 61 Impala, built like the real one I owned many years ago..It is a light tan with matching two tone interior, not the real original color but.close as I can get to something I had back in the 60s.. The original was a 348 cu in - 350 hp - three two barrel - solid lifter cam - 4spd - car. Trying to make as close as possible to what I had back then ...It was a fun car to tool around in back in the day- not a killer race car but fun.... Enclosed are some pic's of it in various stages. I tried BMF but it did not work--don't know why ( maybe old ) so I am carrying on old school and Painting Chrome Trim. Pics are of progress with that paint before I clear it. In pic's it is sanded with 6000 Grit Wet Sandpaper and waiting for clear. Enjoy. Comments Suggestions or just plain Chit Chat are welcomed- and looked forward to. Thanks Tom 60s era
  15. Beautiful work.. The Foil-work alone would be enough to drive me NUTS.. Great Great Job ! ! Paint also look's Killer..Hope to see it done.. Tom
  16. Great Job .. Looks excellent all around...Wish I could find a Hard Top of that body. ( which would be a Cutlass Supreme )..I agree top boot should be white..everything else is spot on though really excellent job... Tom 60s era
  17. ABSOLUTE --- FANTASTIC WORK .... GREAT SKILL'S !!!!!!! HARD TO COME UP WITH MORE PRAISE. GORGEOUS WORKMANSHIP... OVER 110 HOURS OF WORK SEAMS FAST FOR THAT AMOUNT OF WORK.. TOM
  18. A QUICK UP DATE FOR ALL.. GOT WHEELS AND DISC BRAKES PAINTED UP ---JUST A QUICK MOCK UP.. THEY ARE NOT MOUNTED OR ALIGNED UP AS NEEDED YET. AM REALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE CHROME LOOK OF THE WHEEL.. DON''T KNOW WHAT WENT WRONG ..MAY REDO AT A LATER DATE BUT AM GOING TO PRESS ON FOR NOW.. COMMENTS LOOKED FOR AND WELCOMED.,THANKS FOR LOOKING ... TOM
  19. Thanks All for posting.. Here is a pic of wheels with backing pads and calipers. They are still two pieces. So have to decided what color to use for the rotors as they should be shiny , but not more than the re chromed wheel.. The calipers I think red.. Any thought ' s from you all ....???? Still working and taking my time . Comments or suggestions are looked for and welcomed..Oh just a quick shout to Nigel--glad your back dude-keep getting better.. Thanks all Tom B)
  20. Well I played around with the different wheel Ideas.Made one set that I really decided against.. Found another set very similar to the first pictured wheels except they have the Oldsmobile Rocket insignia on the center caps.. Once again I broke out the magnifying glass an Xacto Knife and went to work.. included is a picture of the first trial and the new set, which need to be rechromed. Am also trying to make a set of Disc Brakes for it, ( glutton for punishment I guess ).. Found some stuff in my parts bin that I think I can use for Disc Brakes - at least front maybe all 4... I guess the reason this build is taking so long is I keep adding to it...but what the Hey... Hope you enjoy the pics.. Comments Suggestions and just Chit Chat are welcomed... Tom
  21. Have been working on this what seams like forever. Every time I test fit things look different . Got the rims roughed in now working on the stance.. Has been off and on the bench ( a lot off--due to frustration ) but am plugging away.. Any hoo theirs my Styrene Glory in Primer.. Tom
  22. Hi Guys, Have not been on the bench much lately but do need a little help deciding on the wheels to use for the wagon.. Enclosed is a couple pic,s..May have to do some re chroming or a little detail black work but these should give an idea of how they will look . Any Pros or Cons would definatly be appreciated !!! Any and all opinions, comments or suggestions are greatly welcomed . Thanks Tom
  23. Bryan and Mark, I can relate to your story's. My avatar is the third 66 442 I ever owned but the real favorite was my 1st. Bought new in 66. redid the Heads, wild cam , headers , 4spd linkage revamped for shorter throws, carb and dist mods and a 4:33 Posi .. Painted it Pontiac Bright Blue with Black Vynl Top. Did a lot of street racing with it and overall one h-- of a lot of fun in that car.. Sold it to a guy in Illinois ( where i'm form ) , a couple months later I saw him again and he told me he went to Wisconsin , where his family had a home up there , and blew the motor in a street race-- even though he won... Lost touch with him and never had the foresight back then to keep any vin numbers or any copies of paper work on the car, for current day searches.. ( you always here of people finding there old cars ) but with out any paper trail it is next to imposable . But to this day I wonder what happened to the ole 442, if it some how made it to today or if its recycled into some part for one of today's cars... I Do have a 66 442 model to turn into a tribute , a project for a latter day.... Thanks for letting me bend your ear... Tom B)
  24. Doug, Ford looks, great excellent work..Paint is real smooth, great job.Sway bar is very nice as is the suspension and interior...Have yet to try doing a sway bar or coil springs --- but do look wayy cool.. Keep up the great work.. Excellent job.... Tom Bowen
