  1. Hi Richard, Thanks, yes they are available Alan
  2. I am excited about this one .... Here is the latest ... I have done two sheets for the fact that if you want to do both versions of the raced car get both sheets, or, if you want to do the restored car you can get the down sized sheet. There are a few on that sheet that in combination with the large sheet you have every decal to do both of the cars for the 70 and 71 seasons . These will also be offered in 1/18th scale for the diecast. See them at the site Note these were scaled on the AMT 70 Chevelle .. up top from Revell 72 Olds Cutlass or resin up top from Ed Fluck www.whoopiekatdecals.com Alan
  3. If I may make a sugestion, replace the injector hat with something more period correct, like a Hilborne 4 hole, would look so much better
  4. Keep your eye on the site , there are 3 more versions coming as well Alan
  5. Here is a new decal for the 1/16th scale builders from whoopiekat
  6. Forgot to ask, where are those valve covers sourced from ? Alan
  7. Bryan, Did you scratch the front bench and if so any more photos of the seat ? Alan
  8. Hi Joe, yes, resin body but I can not recall who's as I have so much of the stuff ,,, Power will be a SBC and either a Glide or a TH350 Alan
  9. Here is a stalled older project ....
  10. Just finished this up. Done in silver and gold foils, looks really sharp ... artwork on finished decal is a little different than what appears on the photo of the decal on the website ....... whoopiekatdecals.com Alan
  11. Coming along nicely Niko ........ A helpfull tip Niko, when you get to the chassis, don't forget the driveshaft loop that is located at the front of the driveshaft .... rules state so many inches from trans tail shaft .... Most builds I have seen with this so very important detail , more times than not are wrong and placed at the rear, and what good is that? ......... But we won't get into details because of the obvious here .... Alan
  12. What do I think of the AMT 66 Nova Cragars, they are decent .... THE most acurate are the ones that came in the Johan 69 AMX ..... I can say this because I actually OWN Cragar SS wheels, along with several others. Like I said I am glad some of you get it, the others that get offended or giggle and make silly comments ... well what can I say ......
  13. LOL, actually ... I know a few other builders in my camp that would as well ........
  14. That prob. will not happen. I talked with them about it and the licensing expires with them, so one would have to start from scratch. Another thing, if they can not continue to make a go of it after 20 years, what makes you think someone else would. It is all about our depressed economy. They said sales have contiually been declining to the point where it was costing them money .... not sustainable. It was a good run while it lasted
  15. Hey, another fellow who "gets it" ............You can imagine my surprize when that kit came out and I saw those, a nice surprize indeed, I will take errors like that in a kit anytime !!! You never know what photos the designers and kit engineers are referencing when they draft this stuff LOL Alan PS Niko, you CAN use those wheels on Dart and pre 70 Cudas just NOT the Hemi versions of those cars ....
  16. Hi Niko Glad to hear you got something out of it. I am always learning something new. I really enjoy seeing the progress photos of a project more so that the finished model as there are many details you would not see if it were not for those photos ... Keep them coming Alan
  17. I actually posted a pic or two of a couple of builds Mitch, in this thread, and the 68 Fury AWB thread, the 66 Chevelle and the 65 chevelle four door Super Stocker ............... if that was a jab
  18. And your point is ? The pics you posted are just standard Cragars may or may not be unilugs (fit various bolt circles except the 5 on 4) Like the pic of my wheel I posted above ......... The A Body mopars have a 5 on 4" bolt circle and have a totally unique center casting from all the other Cragar SS's so they look different and will not fit any other application . The point I was making was the Cragars that come in the Revell 70 Torino would be incorrect on any model build other than an A body Mopar build. I care about details like that in my builds others may not and they can build what they like. I have seen intake manifolds glued on top of blowers, cylinder heads glued upside down, Mopar pistol grip shifters in backwards, Ford intakes on Chev motors big block Chev headers on small blocks and visa versa, the list goes on ........ Just trying to share a little info for those interested in advancing their skill level and wanting to produce a more accurate model. Like I said, details like that matter to me and many others ..... if others don't care in details that is fine too but they do not have to get offended , not the intent here. Alan
  19. Here is a photo of one of my Cragar SS wheels to compare to the wheels on the 340 Dart I posted
  20. I want to add one more exclusion, the 68 Hemi Darts and Cudas used the larger bolt circle so even though they are "A" body cars the small bolt circle wheels will not fit ...... here is a pic of a Hemi Dart and a 340 Dart .......... The Cragar SS is a two pc. wheel with a steel rim and an aluminum center section (spokes) This is where the difference is ....
  21. That is quite simple actually ......... First thing is, when you are a car guy, as in one to one not models, and have been all your life and have had many cars along with parts wheels etc. as well as a huge resource of vintage magazines, you acquire knowledge. Do a little research and look at some Cragar SS wheels, including the small bolt circle "A" body Mopar Cragar SS wheels , you will see a noticable difference in them, then look at the scale Cragar SS in the Torino kit......... I am not trying to be smug, just trying to inform so those interested in details like that can build a better replica ... Alan please excuse the spelling mistakes lol
  22. Just don't drill the front wheels as the Fentons did not have the dual bolt pattern like The Super Tricks did. Note : the earlier ST did not have the dual bolt pattern. Re those Cragar SS's in the Torino kit, they are wrong for the Ford, yes they are nice but those are in fact for the small bolt circle "A" body platform Chryslers .. Duster, Dart, Cuda, Valint and, re the Cuda, that is pre 1970 before it switch to the "E" body platform. So if you use those Cragars in the Torino kit on anything other than what I mentioned, it would be wrong. Alan
  23. Bart, those are Fentons in the 59 Camino
  24. Thanks Mike, yes I made the master and then resin cast them ..........
  25. Dave the ones that refere to them as junk don't know diddly squat, I just got a New Race prepped Q-Jet from Jet Performance for a BBC and let me tell you the throttle response is instant with ZERO bog in 4000lb 72 Monte with TH400 and 4:11 12 bolt
