  1. Great looking Fairlane!!

Loved the color choice and the tire/wheel choice as well.

You just have to foil the rest of the windshield pillar, because on the real car it's wrapped on a stainless steal trim, like a '65 or '66 Galaxie.

Thank you Tulio, and by the way, i am a big fan of your work. I know about the stainless steel around the windshield, but i decided to do it like this. I know it's wrong, but the car looks better to me this way.

  2. This AMT's Chevelle was my first american muscle car that i build(4 years ago),since then i am mostly building just good old american iron. She was metallic green, with white stripes and black interior. I was never satisfied with her looks so i decided to redo her.

I tried to replicate the vinyl roof on the car,soo i painted the roof beige. Model is painted with the rattle can and has two coats of clear lacquer over it. I used some BMF for the window trim and i added the wheels from AMT's Ford van.

The trunk opens, interior is carpeted and the engine is wired but i didn't take any pics of it.

So, give me your honest opinion guys, how does she look now?

  3. Nice weathering work, overall. The swapped out door and torn headliner are really nice touches that give it more character and realism.

A couple of tips (since you asked): Try varying the rust color; particularly on large areas of rust, such as the roof. rust is almost never uniform. Also, when depicting rusted-through holes, thin the panel out from the back side 'till it's almost paper thin, then tear the holes with an Exacto knife to give a more jagged appearance.

Thank you for the helpful tip and thank you guys, for your friendly replies!
