  1. Yes it is. I just gotta get another Lonestar kit first and a few other things
  2. Well I'm ready to start my stretched Lonestar build. I just got these in the mail. Been looking all over for this and I finally found one.
  3. I use embossing powder from Michels
  4. Hi. Outstanding truck. Where did you get the headlights from?
  5. Ok. I'm not sure what a scale foot is. How many inches is that?
  6. Hi guys. I'm in the process of planning out my next build. A double sleeper Lonestar. What do you guys think? Should I make it a tri axle or leave it as it is?
  7. When are you going to put these up for sale?
  8. I've only used filler putty and just sanded it down to a smooth finish
  9. The water is actually Celuclay. I think that's how you spell it. Its basically paper mache. It comes in a powder form that you just add water to and you sculpt it from there. Michels sells it. As far as the foam and sea color, they are just spray paint. Navy Sea Blue and Bahama Sea from Krylon. You just spray the Navy Blue on first and while its still wet, spray the Bahama Sea around the base of the hull. The froth part is just painted white. If you go to youtube and search How to make waterline dioramas, look for videos made by Randall Reynolds. Very cool guy to work with. I worked with him on my past project.
  10. Check out Gold Metal Models. They have a nice PE selection.

  12. I was on a tight time schedule and I didn't have the time to make my own. I'm going to try and build my own when I do the carrier again. I have been doing research on various websites and think I'm going to give it a try. But credit goes to Randall Reynolds. He made it for me. I do know that he used plexi glass. If you PM me your email, I can send you the progress pictures that he took for me as he built the case.
  13. Thanks Chris. I built this one for my father in law. He served on it when he was in. I plan on building another one soon. I used Tom's Modelworks PE on this one, but I will use the Pontos Models one for my next one. I would recommend getting the Pontos ones. Its a bit more expensive, but more detailed than Tom's. And I'm going to try and build a better sea base.
  14. Also changed out the deck decal and put in a GPS screenshot and some headrest monitors. Also made some scale sized Scale Auto Enthusiast magazines.
  15. Started some work on the trunk
  16. I use adhesive felt on mine
  17. I used the dupli color lacquer, so it dried to a semi dull. I have to put a clear coat on it
  18. Ok. Thanks guys. I just have the gloss black laquer.
  19. Hi guys. I need help with laquer spray paint. Do I wet sand it after I put it down or do I just clear coat it? I already primered it and have the paint down. Just letting it dry. Also do I use the micro-mesh polishing kit, followed by the polishing compound?
  20. Hi. Does anyone know the width of the wrecker part of the revell peterbilt wrecker?
  21. Thanks Jorge. Still got a ways to go. Got to make the molding on the inside between the car and door. I decided to scratch adding lights.
  22. Started on one of the doors and hinges.
  23. Hey I live in Sun Prairie. I used to live in DeForest.
  24. Here is my USS ESSEX CV-9 carrier that I built. It has a ton of PE parts on it
