1/32 Scale AMT Revell Monogram model kits & built ups wanted Snap together kits are especially wanted
Other manufacturers kits such as Lindberg & Pyro also considered
Have 1/24 & 1/25 kits or parts for trade depending on what you may have
Built ups are OK as long as they are not glue bombs
non NASCAR kits/built ups preferred but will consider NASCAR kits
LMK what you have -

I have a 1963 Chevy Impala by AMT coming soon to my house that I got off E Bay and I'm looking to have the following for it,
One piece front bumper/grill unit and rear bumper.
From looking at the E Bay photos of the car, the front bumper/grill unit is missing a nice chunk of it and the rear bumper is totally shot. Otherwise, the car looks good. Will trade.
Have what you need,NOS from the 60's

Great model
I remember seeing him run at Freeport and Islip Speedways in the mid 70's when he and Evans, Bodine & other North East drivers would show up for the extra distance points races. -
The CKM has a date change to 8/12/23.
Location remains the same- 1

Great looking detail pictures. In the under hood shot it looks like the inside side all of the right front tire may have rubbed on some suspension part and worn away some of the sidewall rubber. While not showroom stock, notice how many stock suspension parts remain on this car. The only thing stock today is the profile per the NASCAR templets, and that is often called to question.
Lots of little details such as the length of the window crank shafts, the sheet metal covers on the front & rear bumpers & the mesh on the LF headlight for the oil cooler.

There was a HUGE Daytona like track in a basement in Hickory NC for many years. It was so big it was hard to see your car at the far end!!! Wonder what happened to it....or is it still in that basement. I moved to WV from Charlotte in 2001 so I have not checked!!
I'll have to ask the local folks about it.
I moved to NC in '93 but didn't get back into commercial slot racing until around '05.

I travel roughly 100 miles roundtrip to the track I race at in Archdale,NC.
As I see it there are not too many young kids interested in slot cars.
There is one youngster of about 13 years old that races occasionally.
Next youngest is about in his middle 30"s.
The majority of the regulars are 55+ with the majority of the "old timers" being in their mid to late 60's
I'm one of them at 69! -

Nice T -bird
Thanks.
Handled well but a tick off speed wise compared to some of the other cars. Motor is new, think it needs more run time before it reaches its full potential. -
Just finished this up, first race for it is today at Archdale Slot Car Raceway in Archdale, NC. Just need to add the lexan interior when I get to the track.
This is a spec class with an H&R chassis, 18,000 rpm motor, either Pro Track or H&R tires. 9/31 gears & 185 gram minimum total weight.
Body started out as a $5.00 Glue bomb.
Paint is Model Master Tropical Turquoise, Plastic Performance Products wide 5's and decals from my stash. -
60 Ford PU is definitely on my to buy list when they come out. At least 3 or more for me.
My wish list would be complete if they were able to find the tooling or clone the 62 Ford Galaxie along with either the 67 or 68 Galaxie's. -

My haul from yesterday at the MDA model show/swap in Roanoke VA.
SC/Rambler was missing the body, glass etc but had 98% of the parts with a partially assembled engine & chassis. Most likely going to list the parts (less the box)on the trade forum. Parts would be perfect for someone restoring one.
Also got 3 full sets of 5 wheel covers from the original issue AMT 34 Ford PU -

Change of plans for me as I will not be selling but plan on going to look for a few kits, parts and check out the contest and full size car show.
I'll be around Allen Hilton's table which is near the overhead door facing the contest.
I'll be wearing a black sweat shirt with an AMT 25th anniversary patch on it.
If you see me say hi. would like to put faces to the names here on the board. On 2/20/2023 at 9:26 AM, TarheelRick said:Have my table reserved and a motel room, no way I could get there by 7:00 am otherwise. Will need to sell a bunch of kits to cover the costs, so everyone that is coming bring money.
