Thanks Anthony I will give that a try on the next one. I have a 1/25 FLC that was going to be Tamiya Pearl White. The problem I had and didn't think about it at the time was when the cab was assembled and the joints filled in with model putty I painted the cab primer gray. When I applied the first coat of pearl white the color looked like pearl gray and didn't even match the hood. The more coats I added the darker it got, So I learned that one the had way. The color of the FLC changed to revving red by use of Testors one coat. Anyways the FLC came out good and was able to save it, but was disappointing in the color choice. The pearl white would have looked awesome with the blue decals in the kit.
Actually the color choice for this Kenworth W900 was going to be Tamiya's Pearl White and Mica Blue. During the start of the painting I just decided to do one color as you can see. I think what made me do this was I didn't want to mess up on the fenders, making sure they were even was going to be a challenge. It could be done but didn't want to chance it.
