  1. Thanks Anthony I will give that a try on the next one. I have a 1/25 FLC that was going to be Tamiya Pearl White. The problem I had and didn't think about it at the time was when the cab was assembled and the joints filled in with model putty I painted the cab primer gray. When I applied the first coat of pearl white the color looked like pearl gray and didn't even match the hood. The more coats I added the darker it got, So I learned that one the had way. The color of the FLC changed to revving red by use of Testors one coat. Anyways the FLC came out good and was able to save it, but was disappointing in the color choice. The pearl white would have looked awesome with the blue decals in the kit. Actually the color choice for this Kenworth W900 was going to be Tamiya's Pearl White and Mica Blue. During the start of the painting I just decided to do one color as you can see. I think what made me do this was I didn't want to mess up on the fenders, making sure they were even was going to be a challenge. It could be done but didn't want to chance it.
  2. Good choice on the paint, like the colors.
  3. Looks good. When I first saw this truck I was wandering where you were able to find a 1/16 352 and here you scratched built the cab. Nice job!!
  4. Thanks everyone! The blue is Tamiya mica blue TS50. I just started using Tamiya paints and like the finish more than Testors. The cost is a little higher than Testors but the end product is great.
  5. Thanks guys! The old school trucks are the best looking for sure.
  6. Took the reissue White Freightliner COE and made into a day cab. The trailer is AMT's flat bed trailer and converted it to a spread axle. Resin two hole buds on tractor drives and five hole buds on trailer. Added Freightliner air ride from the Italeri FLC kit. Trailer is plumbed with air lines.
  7. Doobie, yeah I know, missed that one . I will eventually get around and paint the inside of the hood flat black. At the point of finished paint I didn't want to mess up the mica blue.
  8. Finished this one a couple of months ago. Nothing special, just straight out of the box build.
  9. Oh yeah for sure!
  10. Hello everyone, I've been looking at this site as a visitor and decided to join today. Started building trucks again a couple of months ago and been enjoying every minute of it.
