I assume you mean the '66, as the '69 chassis would be 3" too short. If you're going with a full-detail chassis, you probably want a full-detail engine, too, and that pretty much narrows you down to AMT '66 Riviera. If you want one of those old-school engines from the '66 Skylark dirt tracker, I can probably fix you up.
Yes I plan to use the '66 chassis. I found a '62 Electra 225 that has an apparently stock (at least a single 4v carb) engine. Unfortunately, it has a funky transmission so I might have to do a tranny swap. If all fails, I might take you up on the dirt car engine. Thanks.

Close, anyway. Original kit:
Modified Stocker:
(Source for both here) Maybe get the exhaust manifolds from one of the Rivieras?
Thanks for the input. I've got an AMT 442 with a smashed roof for the chassis and a little OCD to display all the GM mid-sized muscle cars for 1966.

I got my last Modelhaus order over the weekend. 1966 Skylark GS, 1964 Ford F-100, 1968 Coronet, and parts to restore my 1959 Olds, 1961 Buick Special wagon, and 1965 Olds. Now I need to come up with a nice stock nailhead for the Skylark.

Love these stock vintage builds. Greetings from 2.5 miles down the road.

Thanks for the great info guys! I've learned some things here. Now, I just have to wait for my next night of insomnia for the next great ponderable thought.

With the notable exception of the Monteverdi Hai 450SS, no one else used the Chrysler Hemi in sports cars or in Can Am racing. Considering the Hemi's advantage was better breathing at high rpms, makes me wonder why it wasn't used more. I know it's 50 to 75 lbs heavier (in iron block form) than a big block Chevy and maybe a little wider also, but things like that shouldn't be a big problem for a racer. Sorry about this, sometimes I get random thoughts in the middle of the night.

Tongue firmly in cheek, is the new trailer kit going to be left or right hand drive?

Any news on this project? I've tried posting here, emailing direct, looking on ebay. I would like any info if this project is going forward.

Any hope of this project going forward? I would love to do all the early '70s trucks.
