  1. Nice fix on the fenders to make room for that Hemi, I have that same chevy kit so will keep this modification in mind, thanks. Also now that halloween is happening you might want ( for tire smoke) to get some cobwebbing from Michaels, it stretches, can be scrunched into balls and mounted around rough wire, also can be tinted with chalks. See example.
  2. "Mr Gasser" has an upgraded ride Engine and rear wheels 1/12 scale, velocity stacks are upholstery grommets Engine is wired and carbs have linkage, sandpaper for the drive belt Shifter arm is wire bent to match the plastic original, front wheels are 1/24 scale Added a 1/24 scale lead casting of the signal lite bar, bare metal foiled where required.
  3. Thank you all for kind comments. RATDOGGY asked about the shading in the creases. I air-brushed Createx fluorescent green overall, then Testors dullcoat (rattlecan) for a matte surface. Black chalk or pigments applied with an old paintbrush works the powder into the creases and low areas. Any mistakes can be removed with a damp Q-tip. Seal again with dullcoat. Very deep creases were emphasized with sepia oil paint. Cheers
  4. Great concept and execution, have a license plate suggestion, BLDY MRY. Cheers Eh!
  5. Really like your build and finish and photos of this kit. That would be "Madras" pattern style you meticulously painted on the shirt. I built one of these kits back in the late 60's, Its gone but have one in the stash and will get to it one day. If it were not for Ed Roth, T-Shirts would still be underwear. Glad to see others join in the dialogue of these kits, you especially "Skip". You are right about Revell taking Roth (Newton) images and creating three dimentional model kits by employing talented sculptors. Liked the link to Weldonmc, had a nice visit. "How far do I push it" ? Only your imagination will hold you back. One suggestion, for high gloss on eyes and gums, is 2 part epoxy glue, you can even create drool if you time it right. Keep building ! Cheers Eh!
  6. Love it, a car where the trunk is really a "trunk". Great photos too. Cheers Eh!
  7. I like this........ a car, some figures, all on a base, WOW, triple feature. I suggest some trash for the gutter. Cheers Eh!
  8. Here is the box and whats inside, some assembly required Rear view Front view Base Don't play in traffic............ Cheers Eh!
  9. Whirlybirds was great show. Now I know what color the helcopters were. Cheers Eh!
  10. Clear red plastic, maybe try the toothbrush aisle of your local pharmacy.
  11. Great concept, better than the dungeon, torture scene he was meant to be. Scar no problem, the old "running with scissors" warning ignored. Cheers Eh!
  12. Have you checked out the 1/20 th Tamiya Motorsports team set ? The scale is close ( they might be a tad small ) but you get a driver figure with helmet and enough other figs to create the navigator. A few more mud spatters on the glass and who would know ! Your ground work is excellent, do I sense a model rail or military modelling background ? In any case keep it up. Cheers Eh!
  13. Thanks to all for the welcomes. Cheers Eh!
  14. Great looking kit, looks like an apprenticeship may be required. Enjoy. Cheers Eh!
  15. Got back into building model cars about 8 years ago. Alclad was the reason, scale chrome can now be done. My background is military figures and realism is high on the achievement list and carrying this onto car models has helped. I like to put a base and some scenics and if possible a figure with my creations. Have done a few Dave Deal Cartoon vehicles including aircraft. Also the HAWK caricatures. Some other interests include photography, cooking and maintaining my 1990 Chevy Sport Truck. Cheers Eh!
  16. Always nice to have the real building to work from, photos, measurements and permission. The design is quite classic as there were a few of these 'gas stations' here where I live, all gone now. The roof is a point where most diorama builders go astray, but you have nailed it. Keep going, this is going to be great. Cheers Eh!
