  1. Bit of trial and error priming the body, but I'm happy with the result.
  2. Went shopping, Tamiya gray primer was the lightest one I could find. I suppose it'll work just fine.
  3. Just got hold of some Rust-oleum gloss white. But I have to ask: is priming the body really necessary?
  4. I'm thinking glossy or metallic white. My neighbor had one just like this.
  5. Thanks for the tips! I've successfully separated the body from the chasis and windows using a hobby knife, and a little solvent. Now to strip the body of its paint.
  6. Hmmm, good idea. I used Testors enamel paint. Do you know any method for removing Krazy glue? I kinda put it together with that stuff.
  7. I had completed this kit years ago (like 4), but the body was painted with brush strokes only, leaving a very uneven surface. So far, I've been sanding the paint down. Tips and advice are welcome.
  8. Yeah... Its a little rough because I had to get rid of the paint it previously had, which left the surface like that...
  9. This is my AMT GMC S10 Sonoma, its my latest and probably best effort so far. I was aiming for the stock version, but realized too late that I already had the custom trim attached. I got this kit used 3-4 years ago, I forgot about it for a while and worked on it just this month. It has no rear view mirrors since they were lost, and I also had to make one of the wheel retainers myself. I also carefully put the windshield back together after it had broken into 3 pieces.
  10. Okay, I have been into modeling for about 5 years, and I've only ever managed to build 3 kits so far... I like trucks, rigs, rods, classics, tuners, supercars, race and luxury cars.
