  5. I personally have just recently got into dioramas,I have only done 3.I can say I used imagination and real life as my references. I hope my experience helps you.I wish you well in the diorama world. You will get a great sense of accomplishment out of it.Adds a whole new level
  6. My first diorama was a pre historic T-Rex piece. Then I did a drag strip.Next on my list is a shop/garage.Probably more of a modern theme but specializing in late 60 early 70 Mopar and Chevy muscle cars
  7. Just checked your 64 out. That is a very awesome build.Great attention to detail
  8. Thanks so much,it was a kit my son started then gave up on.It had a couple broken pieces, and some paint issues.I had been wanting to do a diorama of this nature so I thought it made the perfect candidate. I had a lot of fun with it
  9. Thank you Renegade and Dan,after seeing the work people on here do your nice words mean alot
  10. Most likely my last build I get finished fo 2015.69 Camaro rust and forgotten diorama.Officially called Rust In pieces.
  11. From my wonderful wife
  12. Looks like stringy glue to me
  13. For asphalt I spray a coat of spray adhesive, let it dry thoroughly. Then shoot it with flat black, when that dries I shoot a very light coat of flat gray over that. The spray adhesive adds a little texture to it.And the gray adds a little contrast to the flat black.Hope that helped you
  14. You are a man with great ideas.I myself am working the same truck over.I have tubbed it out and am in the process of figuring some other things out with it.Hopefully some day soon i can get some pics of it on here.Love your idea
  15. Just saying hello to all the other modelers on here.I have been building for 35 years.I mainly build 60's-70's era Muscle cars. With the 1970 Chevelle SS being my favorite car.But alot of my builds are Mopar Muscle.I currently have 3 wip going on.A 56 Ford(birthday build for my dad, because you will only find 2 Fords in my collection). The Dodge "LiL Red Express"Truck that I took apart and am turning into a Pro Street truck. And a 1974 Road Runner.I will post some pics as soon as i can if there is any interest. My last build i stepped out of my comfort zone and built a Dinosaur.I was very pleased with the way it turned out,It took first at our local monthly Model Club meeting.Anyways thanks for having me on board. And I have seen some amazing builds on here.I posted a few pics of recent past builds.Hope they worked
