IVO would be proud of this model!!! You did a beautiful job putting this together. I really like this one.
I worked with IVO for years on his cars (4 eng - 2 eng - T-bucket etc) and he loved to tell many stories when he was sitting there with you.
NOTE: - One of the first times I've seen "Amos Satterlee" decal on a model. Amos built the motor (392 Chrysler Hemi) for my Blown Fuel Altered - MAGIC MUFFLER FIAT.
Amos sadly passed away some time back and was referred to as "Famous Amos" since he built so many World Championship motors from Dragsters to Drag Boats. He's legendary!

Would you have a photo of the front suspension? Great build!

What front suspension are you going to use because I've always had a problem finding the suspension for Pro Gas or Pro Stock cars in 1/16th ??

Fantastic build!! I went to Mission Raceway in 1978 (from Victoria) so I was probably listening to you then if that's when you were announcing.

Nice to see a Fuel Altered that not many people are familiar with today.
I searched for this car to do a restoration on it about 25 to 30 yrs ago. The car disappeared out of the Bakersfield area around 1970's.
I've spoken with the people from Valley Steel and the only remaining thing of the car is a huge poster on the wall of the managers office.
Since I was unable to find the car to do the restoration or preserve it then I continued on with the "Magic Muffler" Fiat Blown Fuel Altered.
That particular car now resides in my garage. Hopefully I'll find the Valley Steel Fiat as I still look for it periodically. I'm building a model of it as well.

Here's a picture I took when I was up in Kirkland Washington when we were displaying a classic car at their Concours event in 2009. Several of the Hydroplanes were brought out and I took a few photos of the Bardahl.
Note: I also showed other pics in this thread of the model in the museum.
