A Jaguar that is broken down will still look cool, a Hyundai that is broken down won't.

One of the most uninspiring cars I've ever built, got it in a deal when I bought a lot of models and it was lying in the way, when lookin' at the simple curbside kit, my thoughts was that it should be easier to build it and then throw away the box, than to put the box somewhere.....
Box stock except for license plates, steering wheel and front seats, also, the tailpipe in the pictures now have fallen off and I admit it looks better without it....
Satisfied? No. Finished? Yes.

Started my first attempt at a diorama a while ago, just a simple garage dio to get a more "lively" background to take photoshoots of my cars against...
Here's the baseplate, a piece of MDF that I painted with grey primer to get a concrete floor look.
Other than that, I haven't gotten any further with the process, lots of overtime at work....but stay tuned for process in the future. -
Welcome to the forum, neat lookin' fox!

Mattias that is one clean looking w123,nice to see one whitout the chrome wheelarch rust collectors. Is it a diesel?
Nope, 230E, 0,8 mm milled head and 276 degree Dbilas camshaft, shame that I missed a good deal on an AMG (or Brabus? don't remember) exhaust header last winter.......

Nice build of one of the most beautiful cars in the world.

This is a bit of an oddball. This one is a release from the british company Frog, from around 1970. They inherited the model from the japanese company Sankyo, which in turn did a ripoff of the Lindberg kit. Of course, Sankyo changed the chassis into something very simple and unrealistic, and made the model into a motorized curbside, and then Frog did remove the motor....
So if you open the hood it's all empty except for a strange looking firewall that obviously is made to house a battery box.
But for a very simple kit, I'm quite satisfied myself with the outcome. -
Got this one as a gift last christmas.
My thoughts was to replicate a fairly new car, that mostly got the rear tyres changed into slicks for some test run on the quartermile.
The roll bar added some racing vibes even though it may be overkill for stock....
Other than that, the model is box stock except for tyres, some parts box firestones up front, a bit too modern maybe but I didn't like the kit tyres with bald sides and those were the only ones I found that did fit the rims. The rear tyres are from Little red wagon.

Tough lookin' muscle car you've got there!

Awesome cruiser!

May I suggest Ford Model T? No BMF needed and you could use a black rattlecan to paint 95% of the model...
But this one is looking great IMO.

Very nice take on an ancient and poor kit.

Not an expert on the subject, but it looks right to me.

Nice!

If it weren't for the background, one would believe that it was a picture of the real car "in action", the dust really gives everything life, one of the coolest dios I've seen!

This is how I remember them from my childhood when they still were everywhere. Nice!

Well, I would pull over!

Everyone that has tried to pull off a yellow paintjob know how hard it is, but this one seems flawless, and together with the wires and the tan interior, this clean build is nothing but eyecandy. Great!

Lovely paint, just like a mirror! I'm stunned!

I love those post-apocalyptic builds and this one is no exception, well done!

Actually, some years ago I was commuting with this helmet the whole winter. So it is approved down to at least minus 30 degrees celcius

Mattias Johansson, 29 years old, from Kalix in the northern part of the Swedish east coast, just kilometers from the arctic circle and from the finnish border.
I've been building since 1992 (co-operation with my father, AMT 1956 Ford), built my first own model (AMT 1966 Fairlane) in 1994. Had a break between circa 2000 and 2007 but got back into building and found out that it was more fun than ever.
I like to build all makes, years and styles of cars, I have no certain favourite, I can build a stock 30s european luxury car today and a pimped out modern Dodge RAM tomorrow and both are equally fun and interesting for me.

Yeah, it was a bit out of scale, appeared better in pictures than IRL, was planning to drill it out but after it fell off I skipped it altogether.
