Thanks guys! So, if I put a red stripe on it, I don't have to paint the lettering white? Is the Firestone wide oval a stock tire for the 70 Z28? Thanks, JB

OK ... making good progress on my 70 Z-28, but I had a couple of questions. 1. The tires are Firestone AMT tires with no decals. They have raised letter and a groove around the outside. I like the tread detail, but was wondering how I could make the letters white. They are very small and I'm not sure I'm going to be able to paint them. Can any of you give me some suggestions? What should I do with the groove on the outside? Does that mean that they would have a read stripe? If I left them as is, would that be correct?? 2. The grill is my favorite part of the front end. How can I deposit black into the recessed parts of this grill? I've seen on here that guys use thinned black paint. Do you use acrylic or enamel? I've done other grills from the 69's before, but this one is different. If you have seen one, you will know what I mean. Thanks for your help! JB

I was trying to put the stripes on my 70 Z-28 and they are like tissue! I screwed up the stripes on the back and now I'm not sure what I am going to do. Any good 70 Z-28 decals out there? Very frustrating. JB

I'm building the AMT/Model King 70 Z-28 and I need to put the hood stripes on and I'm keeping the hood open, so I need to cut the decals for the part the goes in front of the hood from the part that goes on the hood itself. (I hope that description works.) How do you guys do this? Do you cut them dry or do you put them on and cut them on the car? Thanks, JB
