Great job. Cut some front and rear floor mats out of styrene and paint them black. That may take care of the mold holes. JB

Javier .. I think you are correct about the silver paint. I always clear over metallics before I decal.

Very nice job! Great looking car.

Thanks Felix. I am going to give it a try again. These Corvette Racing cars are too cool not to build. BTW, are you using an airbrush or cans? -

Toughest part of the paint on this car is the black section on the rear of the car. Couldn't get that done without making a mess of it. http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d171/lawman362000/Rolex.jpg JB -
Any aftermarket decals for this yet? JB

How were the window trims to paint? Did you cut your own masks? Great job, BTW! JB -

Most are out of stock due to a relabeling issue. There are multiple discussions of this everywhere. Some say that they are coming back in sept. -

Keep us updated. I like building planes also. Building different types of kits keeps things fresh and you learn new techniques. -

Really sorry to hear this. I hope you and your family can rebuild. I glad to hear you made it out of the house. -
Very nice build. The BMF work is impressive. Why did you need to use a resin chassis -- to fit the big rear tires? Who is Porky? Thanks.
-
Great build! I have this resin body and am planning on building it as my first resin build. Any issue with the fit on the elCamino body? Any other issues you can recall? Thanks, JB

Great job on the merc! Your workbench is very well organized. Very good job wiring that engine. Are those aftermarket pulleys?

Thanks Jeff. Don't know why they put it on the model ...

Did the stock L88 Corvettes come with a "427 L88" logo on the hood? The Revell kit does and I think that it may be wrong. Problem is ... I painted the hood already. Anyone know of a kit that has the complete scripts for the 68/69 Corvette? I don't know why Revell would release these Vettes without decals for the scripts, or the crossed flags on the hood. Thanks, JB

This is the most difficult part of a build for me. Painting (or using a marker on) the window trim. I'm working on the new Revell Ferrari 458 and the trim on the windows is going to be very difficult. I've recently been using a marker to do the trim, but on these windows the trim is not raised at all. There is no defining line between the trim and the glass. There is a small texture to the trim area, but nothing that I can run my marker on. Even when I have window masks, its difficult for me, since I do not have an airbrush. This build is going really well and I don't want to screw it up now. Any suggestions from anyone who has done this kit or worked with similar trim. Any help is much appreciated.

I use Duplicolor engine paints all of the time. They give a hard glossy finish that holds up well to repeated handling during assembly. Thanks, JB

I use toothpaste and a tooth brush to clean bodies before painting. I then rinse with distilled water and dry with a lint free towel. I find that the toothpaste is slightly abrasive and gives some "tooth" for the primer to hold on to. Opinions? JB

Great job! Did you lower the suspension? I like the new wheels. Where did you get the plumbing for the engine? Thanks, JB

Hey Everyone, I'm in the middle of building the Cobra and I was wondering if anyone could provide some info regarding the 427 included in this kit. It seems a little different than the 427 in other Revell kits. First off it has a low profile oil pan and a box on the top that the carb sits in. I'd appreciate it if someone could give me any information about this particular engine. References? etc. Thanks, JB

Thinking of getting one and would like to know which one you found useful. Thanks, JB
