  1. Thanks  guys!

It's cut down about an inch from what's in the kit. I doubt this wheelbase would be possible with the kit-supplied transmission, as the driveshaft is just over a scale foot long now!

Flag decals are from the Peterbilt 359, and the Thunder Sand & Gravel signs are from the gravel trailer kit. The yellow stripes are from an old Microscale sheet.

    And... here's the gravel trailer.

thats amazing , what a nice truck and trailer , top work

  2. So, small Beddie is finished. I very glad that this series of 4 models are over. I tried to make each in another condition. This last Bedford Tipper is a normal daily worker. Dirty and tired after years of work. Colors are nitrocarcolors (black and red) and mr.collor GX (blue). Clearcoat is 2K IVAT. Weathering is maden by oil paints, Tamiya weathering master set, and my favourite Tamiya X57 buff acrylic colour as a light dust.

  4. Thanks! But as far as skill goes I have very shaky hands and have trouble as well. But with that being said, I enjoy building. If you will build for enjoyment, and challenge yourself along the way, you may be surprised with what you come up with. The truck cab did not come with opening doors, this was my first attempt at opening doors. Thanks again for the encouragement!

    Thanks! That's a big compliment!

To everyone else who have commented, Thank you so much! You all have been an encouragement to me!

thats crazy , do you mind saying how did you do the doors , looks great

  5. So, it's been a while since the last post, here is one I have finished not long ago. Freightliner FLC with some mild changes from the box, decals from Modeltruckin', photo etch parts like nameplates, flap weights, chicken lights and supports from KFS, drive tires from Auslowe, exhaust stand pipes from the Australian Western Star and sleeper from the FLD kit. The wheels of the Moebius trailer swtched to bigger Italeri rims and tires to better match the truck. most decals on the trailer also from Jerry Reeter. Spread axle with scratch built tool boxes, same flap weights as the freight. Color is Tamya pure white and  Duplicolor Ford dark green.

great truck , looks great , can i ask how did you the silver so neatly round the doors of the sleeper , also what silver did you use , looks really good , im currently doing a freightliner convensional and would like to know , its my first build , model lol thanks

  6. This was a learning experience for me. I just got back into building after about an 11-12 year break. Let me be the first to say this truck has several flaws, but I enjoyed the build.

This truck was inspired by the Apollo 116 built by Sean ("Old Buckaroo") and a story with pictures of an Apollo 92 with a IH style sleeper that was on Hank's Truck Forum. The hood was shortened, the doors opened, the interior is scratch built other than the dash and seats, sleeper is from the 4300, 8v-71 is courtesy of the Titan kit, front wheels are Auslowe, and a lot from the parts box.
