  1. Yes, the decals do not want to line up correctly. The stripe does fit a little high(I am a big fan of the original series), Having built two of these already, I can say that if you angle it down where it is on the real car it will NOT line up with the roof decal...Again, From my experience. More finished pics to come.
  2. Here is my "in progress shot" of my 1/25 Gran Torino from the TV series Starsky and Hutch. The model was thougherly washed with liquid detergent. I primed it with Italian Red, Then air brushed seven coats of Italian Red, Wet sanding in between each application. The tricky Stripe decal was applied and gently aligned into position. I used Micro Sol to nudge the decal down.I used bare metal foil on the trim ,I then airbrushed several coats of clear...Still a work in progress as I need to clean it up a little and as I plan a diorama based on the Pilot episode of the series.
  3. Many thanks guys!

  10. That's actually from the second film. Here is my first film version...
  11. Hey Guys. Here is my build up of the 1/25 Aoshima original release Mad Max Road Warrior V8 Interceptor. I detailed the interior with a roll bar and clutter per the film. This was the first release so I had to scratch build some stuff. The rear rims were given to me by another Max Fan. I weathered the Car to look like it did in The Road Warrior. I used an air brush, pastels and Tamiya weathering kits....
  12. Hey Guys! Really glad to be here! Many thanks indeed. I have been building models, all types of models, for over 40 years! I really enjoy film/TV cars the most! The Bond Aston Martin DB5 and 1966 Batmobile being my favorites. Hopefully I'll have something worthwhile to contribute! High Regards, Mark
  13. Hey guys! It's an honor to be part of this forum. My 1/25 Polar Lights 1966 Batmobile build...Here's what I did. The kit's beacon was discarded and replaced with an aluminum accurate one, the indicator lights on the either side of the roll bar were sanded smooth and replaced with actual lenses, the canopies were dipped in future to give them a more realistic finish, Photo etched parts, Cut aluminum tubing replaced the kit's supplied rocket launchers, the car was air brushed using my IWATA system several coats of Tamiya black, wet sanded in between applications then waxed for a super high gloss shine, the pin striping was applied by hand to reflect the Glowing Cerise used on the actual car,the car's suspension was lowered to reflect the stance of the real Batmobile, the kit rims were discarded and replaced with accurate Radar rims.
