Was there ever a 1948-1952 Ford PU truck 1/25 scale? Thank you.

Extremely nice. What model...who makes it?

Martin, Thank you.

I'm looking for articles on scratcbuilt tuck & roll jobs. I already tried this procedure: site:modelcarsmag.com how to scratchbuild tuck & role . Any ideas? Thanks.

Another choice would be a 1956 Buick 4 door hardtop. The 57 Olds would also be a 4 dr HT. These would be station wagons of course.

I would like to see either a 1954 Mercury or a 1957 Oldsmobile wagon.

Bill, Modelhause used to make an uptop and also a boot for a 1958 Ford. I used their uptop when building my '57. Also was modeled after my real one that I owned in 1965, black w/white top, red interior, 312 T-Bird engine . I have a boot from Modelhause that I'll send to you if you want it. Send me a private message.

Outstanding build. I saw your first post from about 2 yrs ago on this. Glad you finished it. I've built 2 of the Continentals and have a 3rd kit. One of them I built a stretch model presidential type limo. Looks like the hardest part of yours was the rear deck. How did you manage that?

What happened? Where's the finished product?

Has anyone seen this car in 1/24 1/25? I think Russian called a GAZ 11-73. I can find it in 1/43. But once I saw it advertised in 1/24. Maybe a typo.

At first I wasn't even going to view it. But you did a helluva job there. I'm very impressed.

I use a surgeons scalpel handle with scalpel blades.. I'll never go back to exacto stye handles.

Love to see the 4doors. Any make. I would really like some 1930-40's 4 doors. I built a resin bodied 41 Ford 4 dr. Used a resin body from a 1948 with the front group from a 41 woody. was both 1/25 scale but the resin body was a full 1/8 in wider than the front group. had to some cutting and glueing and bondo and....

Thanks for all the replies and advice. Maybe time to get the sandpaper out.

I guess we still don't know. Castrol Super Clean is not available where I live (Thailand). I can get sodium hydroxide (lye), but now am afraid to use that. They are made from acetate plastic? I'll have to try to research that. Thanks for all the replies and open to more.

Tom,
Hahaha....Thanks. At least now I know NOT to use it.

My fore fingers are so strong after years of this hobby. I'm proud of myself. Used to be I would get sand kicked in my wrists...But now those bullies leave me alone when they see my forefingers.

I have acquired 56/57 Lincoln Continental Mark II promo car. It needs paint stripper. I usually use brake fluid. Is that safe to use in that era promo car? If not, what should I use? Thanks.

I also am in the market for the Buick Caddy type wheels.

I think this is a really cool build. Something similar might be done in plastic. https://www.rodauthority.com/news/swell-longroof-rhd-1962-kustom-jeep-from-down-under/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=swell-longroof-rhd-1962-kustom-jeep-from-down-under

My favorite one to hate is the 1948 Lincoln Continental Lindberg/ I forget who originally made it. So damned hard to build, but so beautiful when finished. I've done 2 of them and if my blood pressure ever returns to normal I will try another.

Outstanding. Having driven the entire length of RT 66 once and also parts of it many times over, I really appreciate this. Would love to have that diorama, but would have to use all 3 bedrooms to house it and the wife complains so when I ask her to sleep on the porch.
