  1. Elvira's Macabre Mobile. This model is based on the 58 ford thunderbird model. Unfortunately, the 58 doesn't have the same side trim that Elvira's car does. So, I filed down the 58 door trim and gave it the chrome spear. I also cut the forward section of the top off and attached it to the windshield like the real car has. Then I made up some thick paint to make the hood and trunk emblems. I also used wire to create the chrome hands that were on the fenders.

  2. another second-hand store buy.  This was partially built. And had been broken. So, I was fortunate enough it had the majority of the parts. All I had to do was find a set of wheels, an engine and repaint it.

  3. My former brother in law had a Triumph that belonged to his dad. I found this at a toy store in Nampa. I bought it and did some mods to make it look like his car. His was black body and red interior. This was black body and tan interior. I also painted the tail lights and wheels to look more like his.

  4. 64 Cadillac I think this was mine from back in highschool. I stripped it and repainted it too. The interior is out of the convertible version of this model I know I had.

  5. 55 Bel Air by Ertl. 1:18 scale was red and white. I stripped it, altered some of the side trim and repainted it. I added tailpipes in the bumper (trying to make them look like one unit) added the antenna. Then added the decals.

  6. I think this was another second-hand purchase. It was originally a car advertising Caterpillar or something. Had all this graphic stuff on black body. I stripped it and repainted it. adding the chrome details.

  7. another second-hand shop buy. I'd seen this once at the Idaho State Fair. I liked it when I saw it. Then I ran across it at the second-hand store. The body was in bad shape. The paint used on it originally ate into the plastic. I stripped it, did some smoothing out of the body and repainted it a custom purple metallic.

  8. Another eBay purchase. 1:18 scale. It was white when I got it. I'd wanted to make one to look like McQ's Trans Am. So, I stripped it and repainted it in the correct pontiac green. Addedd the graphics his car had. And printed the license plates.

  9. 69 Cougar. From the same shop. It had been started. They got as far as painting the chassis. I finished the build. Used gold or silver base coat. Then a clear green.

  10. Mustang I picked up at the same second hand store. This one was still in it's original box. It hadn't been built. So, I put it together.

  11. 64 Buick Wildcat I picked up from a second hand store. It was this horrible color of green when I bought it. I stripped it and repainted it gold.

  12. Another solido model. This one is also a 1:20 scale. And I had the solido Eldorado. I started looking at pictures and realized the Eldorado wasn't a lot different body wise than the standard series convertible. So, I modified the body, grinding the fins off and building the little fin bumps. Added the antenna and the lower body trim. Also created the skirts.

  13. this is a diecast. the scale is 1:20 and manufactured by solido. It's another eBay purchase that I remodeled. It was white when I got it. I stripped it did some work on the body eliminating the seams from the casting.

I found a picture of one of these online in this color. So, I repainted it silver over black with red interior. I added the antenna, parking lights, the bar across the grill and altered the wheels to look like the real one.
