  1. Thank you for this info. This would be handy on a locked thread for newbies like my self.
  2. Okay thank you most far fans only get around 70 cfm. So now I know what to start shopping for.
  3. Hello, I did a search and did a lot of reading but did not fingers a answer or I missed it. I titled this post so someone might find it useful. So questions if my paint booth is 3ft long and 2 ft deep. What size a fan (CFM) would I need? I saw post a guy had 6 ft long booth with 2 motors that pulled up to 300cfm so if I am guessing I need 150 cfm? Thanks
  4. not really sure. I brother was on the Coral sea. Ithe was a aircrafts carrier
  5. Hello, I was looking for the right forum like the "painting booth" for this question and did not see one so I placed it here. Sorry if I posted in a wrong forum. Anyways I was looking at what I needed for a painting booth set up. I have a huge compressor it has a pressure regulator on it so I can adjust it. I thought I saw a video of someone had a small moisture filter that fit just below the air brush. Am I right? I could get one from HF that mounts on the wall. (But I really don't have a wall by my compessor) but the little on the airbrush looked like it did what it needed to do. I am going to build my own paint booth out of 1/4 ply and plexiglass. And mount a far fan. Thanks for the advise. Karl
  6. Hello, I was looking for a ship or aircraft carrier to build. I only tried Amozon and Walmart (online) l could not find any. Is there a online superstore that has them. I am going to go to a hobby store and see what they got. I am looking for any and all resources. Thanks
  7. Really? I will check them out thanks
  8. Hello, I am 50 years old and am going to build something last time I built a model car was in the 70"s. Any how my other hobbies are scroll saw wood working and I have a air brush that I use to paint wood with. I watched some YouTube videos and it sure looks like times have changed since I was a kid. So I am going to nose around here and figure out kind of model to do and skill level would be good . I saw in one video there are some cheap kits to stay away from. So I am guessing Revell is a good kit to start out with? I will paint it since I have a air brush. Is there any certain paint (brand) that I should buy. Where should I buy a kit from b&m (brick & mortar) store?. The only hobby store we have is Micheles we got target and Walmart and places like that. My brother is a old sailor and was on the Coral sea during Nam. He had brain surgery and is living with me. He is having hard time healing and such so I think it would be great to do a ship maybe he will get into it. Thanks in advance for all your help and advise. Karl
