Blupigracing

Have been retired now for just over 18 months, so am now able to build on a more regular basis. Main interest lies in 1/12th scale models, either F1 or of late, models such as the Tamiya Lola, their Porsche kits and the 240 Z Rally Datsun. The Porsche kits as yet are untouched and for one of them I have the Scale Models super detailing kit. If I remember correctly mine is numbered in the low eighties, as I knew from the start that I wanted one so got my name down on the pre-order list pretty early.

Apart from 1/12th scale I also build in 1/14th and 1/20th, keeping away from F1 kits though in all honesty (as we all know) not many are being offered at the present time.My latest purchase has been the Aoshima Lamborgini Aventor, for which I have purchased the Hobby Design "Lines of Burst" from Hiroboy (where else), and if anyone can suggest a suitable base colour other than the metallic or candy purple colour that is shown on the Hiro site for it, I would be more than interested.Any suggestions what the purple colour might be?

For Christmas I have been treated to an Aoshima  McLaren "Long Tail" Le Mans kit plus a set of "Gulf" decals and (Unusual for me) the Tamiys Ducati Penigali 1199 bike kit, this being the first bike kit I have ever looked at. If the Belkits Esc0ort comes out before Christmas then that will have to be a present to myself as no way do I want to miss that --brings back too many memories.
