  4. Wow, just wow. I am surprised this thread is still alive! Evil you sure do like to stir it up!.... I come to this forum for modeling advise, thoughts on better building techniques and a way to connect with others of like mind for these small plastic "reality escapes"...not high school drama, so please, can it. This showing makes me second guess my involvement in the Drag Build Off...?
  5. two sets of Pegasus T/F-F/C rear slicks - projects already pegged - needed new shoes!
  6. Hay there - never stop building...if you stop because some people don't care for your style car - screw em!!! I personally build for myself ALWAYS... I never take my cars, trucks, lowriders, kustoms, drag cars etc to a show because I built, and build, for my own pleasure and break from the daily grind of life... Keep in mind this a hobby plan and simple...so enjoy what you build, build what makes YOU happy and that's that!
  7. COME ON GUYS SHOW SOME PROGRESS PICTURES--- AM I THE ONLY ONE BUILDING HERE??? --------------- Got more work done on the hand built chassis. This is going to be one heck of a lot of round styrene!!! Building this based on the Vanishing Point style Pro Mod cars. I will start cutting the body up this weekend. -- wait, wait, no i am wrenching on my '49 this weekend... too many distractions! AHHH Here are some not so great (out of focus) pictures: the cave where I build em: (build a shop out back so the mess is contained -- yeah right!)
  8. Congrats! Here's ta many more years of success...
  9. My progress is slow - but I figured I better show something. Spending a lot of time building my 1:1 scale kustom sled -- ( sled website build ) -- Be kind - I am no 1320wayne!

  11. Does that kit come with that tubbed chassis?
  12. We need more info and pics of that MOTOR! - Awesome!
  13. Gorgeous! That is one mean looking car, perfect color - I really dig the rims too!
  14. Drew, I placed the '55 tubs and floor in there for a mock up, I will be building my own frame, floor and tubs for this model. The '55 has a great chassis and rear set up and any mods to the wheelbase can be done fairly easy without compromising the original to much. I start my builds by setting the body down flat, tracing the body and marking the centerline of front and rear wheels in their openings. I do this onto a piece of small stiff cardboard. This way I can build off of it and know that the body and wheels will line up. Try this and see just how much you need to shorten or stretch the '55 frame to fit the Cuda. Then you can build off the template. I will snap some pictures of mine and post for you to see. Hope this helps.
  15. Very nice build - and that thing is super CLEAN! Perfect color combo! Thanks for sharing this one.
  16. Here is my entry and some set up pictures: Ross Gibbons Pro Mod Motor, wrinkle wall slicks, some after market wires and plumbing goodies. I cast my own BDS blower and hat. Will use various "parts box" goodies. Still need to order rims and other odds and ends. Going to make this a wicked Pro Mod style car...It will have a crazy Vanishing Point style cage and frame made from plastic and metal tube...Full wiring and plumbing too. I may just open her doors and trunk lid? 1966 Nova (I put most new kits in plastic storage bins until ready to build) Motor and stance mock-up
