Super Stock 1000 Hardbody 1/24 Stock Car Event
At The Track Raceway - 2026 B Ironwood Circle - South Bend Indiana
Saturday April 12, 2014, track opens for practice at Noon local time, tech opens for first race at 2:30 PM local time.
Lunch will be available at the raceway for a nominal fee.

Races starting at 3 PM:
Pony Stock Cars on the Hill climb. 3 minute heats. 1.5 Minute Intermissions. Fast Ones Demon Motors only.
Unlimited Stockers on the LIVE intersection figure 8. Any motor listed in our rules. Chassis is unlimited. Body may be any plastic kit of a vehicle.
Bent wrench Modifieds on the Oval. 2 minute heats. 1.5 minute intermissions. See rules below in post.
Super Stock on the oval. 5 MINUTE HEATS. 1.5 intermissions. Pro Slot 4002B or 4002 FK motors only for this class.
Qualifying for lane choice in Pony Stock and Super Stock. Round Robin format. "One and done" in all classes.
Race prizes, plaques for all classes, and the Raffle Car (pictured below) will be the prize for the winner of the drawing at the end of the event.
If there is time and we have enough racers, we will run an exhibition race for Scratch built USAC stock cars.

The stripes aren't correct for a stock Dart anyway, so what's the difference?
Wow this kinda sounds like something Hillary Clinton would say.
The stripes were commonly seen on Darts as a custom add-on at least when I was growing up- I can't imagine someone putting "340" logos on a "360" car though. In any event it's a waste of decal space that could have been used for something the kit needs- like instrument or interior decals for example.

As far as I know, the 1975 Dart Sport was equipped with a 360 V8 rather than a 340. How much effort would it have taken to provide the correct stripe?

My kits arrived today. I'll be doing an in-depth review over at slot blog.
First glance looks good, confused about the 360 air cleaner decal and the 340 side stripes for the stock engine. Hemi looks like a weak attempt, I imagine there will be a few motor swaps to get a better looking drag engine.

Just got my shipment of reissue AMT 1965 Galaxies in today's mail.
I'm sure that they will take some work to make into a good representation of a 1960's era NASCAR stocker… having said that, I am hoping other people will be willing to share their impressions of the kit.

Check with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway archive department.
They offer inexpensive reprints of photos that they keep in their records (it is a massive number of photographs of virtually everything that has touched the track surface!).

Milan Tomasek at www.mtr32.com has a sheet of Audi R10 "Champion" decals in 1/32.
I believe that he can re-scale the decals for 1/24... please check with him to see if this is possible.
I have purchaed his 1/32 decals and I feel they are top notch. Milan is a friendly guy and easy to work with.

As popular as the full sized car is, I can't help but wonder what company will be the first to offer a 1/25 scale Dodge Challenger "Hellcat"?
Would you buy one if it was offered for sale?
Should it be full detail or skill level 1 prepainted?
