  1. I get burned out too on a project if I take too long on it. I generally take about 4 to 6 weeks on a build. For example in early November I started on a Revell 99 Chevy Silverado. I've had a lot of trouble with the paint job and its been very discouraging. I've had to take a week or two off from it. I just now have started messing with it again.
  2. My wife and I bought a digital camera for ourselves . I bought three 8 oz bottles of the 1-2-3 Novus Polish. It should last me for years. I also bought a new paint mixer..the $12.00 one you can buy at Hobby Town. I already have enough plastic in my closet to last for a very long time.
  3. Wow thats a very sharp looking build! When I started building models when I was 8 , they never did turn out half that good. LOL Its very encouraging to see a kid building models instead of watching tv or playing video games all day. I'm 32 and still trying to master a good two tone paint job. Keep up the good work. You have chosen a great hobby to be involved in...its so rewarding.
  4. I think they look great ! I've been in the hobby for 20 yrs and my first ones were terrible but I was having fun and thats what this great hobby is all about.
  5. Does anyone here have any ideas on how to make an engine look grimy and dirty? I'm currently building a 1964 Chevy truck into a salvage yard truck. Its not going to look like a total junker but I don't want the engine to look brand new either. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  6. Great looking Cadillac! I'm a sucker for those old Caddys. I've built two of the 59s.
  7. Did anyone here get to attend the Derby City Shootout Model car show in Louisville, Ky last weekend? It was a pretty good show. Its the first year that I only bought one model at the swap meet
  8. Right now I'm currently working on a Revell 1964 Chevy truck. I decided to go with a classic black . I will post some pics soon.
