  1. cool idea. I made a set for one of my trucks out of wooden dowel rods and drinking straws for another. Never thought of plastic hangers

  3. ichecked out his page anand jjoinjed on sunday but still no approval yet so i can't ask about and get prices on some parts
  4. lol the rig is actually longer than the trailer
  5. where is the best place to find aftermarket straight stacks?
  6. sweet lookin little rig
  7. i am about to start a tri-axle rig myself using a kenworth w900 truck. i found 2 of them on ebay for a decent price so i can have all the extra parts needed to extend and have the correct suspension and matching wheels and tires. i'm also extending the frame to accommodate a 2nd flat top sleeper and leaving the front aerodie one the way it is. i'm also building a scratch built rack that will sit over the flat top sleeper and a deck right on top of the frame because it will be a car carrier with matching trailer when it's complete, oh also it will have a 2nd set of steering wheels and axle between the 1st and 2nd fuel tanks under the sleeper because of how long it will be. i hope to get it started in the next few days when my 2nd truck arrives in the mail.
  8. Finished my streched Peterbuilt 359 with matching corvette
  9. i used balsa wood to make the frame and coated it with a light coat of wood glue to make it smooth so the wood wouldn't suck up the paint and glued wondow screen to the tops of the ramps to simulate steel mesh then painted it.

  11. The rack on the truck is made from balsa wood coated with wood glue to make a smooth non porous surface to make it smooth to take the paint and look like the trailer parts. The other ramps and risers on the trailer are done the same way. The exhaust stacks are made from drinking straws and are spaced to where the cab can still be tilted foward to access the engine.
  12. this one is based on a truck the company he worked for used to make California runs. He drove one like this when he made thise runs. I have one that i will be working on that was his regular truck he drove 90% of the time.
  13. I just finished building this rig to honor my dad who passed in June. He drove a car carrier for 34 years and i couldn't think of a better way to honor him.
