First, I know how you feel, imagine what I had to go throu every month. about Cruz Merc. The reasond it is not in this list is that the car was finished on january 31, so by the rules I stablished, the car was competing for the best of that month. And that month he was neck and neck with Ismaels Indy car. The MERC IS A SHOW WINNER no dought. and if he would waited a day and posteted on february 1, for sure he would won best of february. The INDY car if you saw the work on this thing. most of it is scratched build, parts of the suspension work, the guy has a mill and makes his own parts out of aluminum. If you recognized the kit you know what kind of ###### you have to deal with, but Ismael did majic with it...considering all that this project had an adge in my eyes over the merc. But yes the Merc is one of my favorites and Marcos knows that. So that's why the MERC is no included. MOST OF THIS BUILDS ARE SHOWN HERE IN THIS FORUM I did not put the names of the builders so It wouldn't effect the judging. During the year I challenged a group of builders from the island of puerto rico to try to build a model to compete for best of the month. And some month we got one or two, but sometimes 3 and four and all detaild to the teeth. But I only picked the one I thought was the hardest to build or the most clean, and acurate. Now out of all 12 I need to pick one....well thAT'S TO MUCH FOR ME TO HANDLE. I will like to ask you to do that for me. I was able to create the headers, using plastic rods and the tip of a straw... they fit good and look to scale. Next I have to create the intake and webbers from the same material..... I am a low budget builder, and will try to use spear parts or scrath build this project.

MY TOP TEN LIST 1. love cars..like to watch them, read about them and enjoy their evolution. a MODEL CELEBRATES THAT. 2. it's not dirty or harmfull 3. it's affortable 4. does not take to much room 5. I am not the only one and I get to share with other people like me. 6. love to see the reaction on the peoples faces, it triggers the memory and ideas. 7. it gets better with every built 8. A model can teach you patience, creativity, and self confidence 9. It is the best thing you can do alone 10. it makes me HAPPY

ITS COMING !!!!!! Since there is no drag vw aircool kit nowere and the only after market offers are resin webbers and turbos, the rest needs to be scratch built...but since the beginning I new the engine was going to be the hart of this project, that's why I made the engine cover removable. the body is almost done...so now my next thing is the chassie and suspension. and I started looking for parts and is going to take more time and money but It will be done....
