Unfortunately, I think this is one of the early releases with the ill-shaped windshield, etc.

The first one that arrived sadly had a broken bodyshell, the second one arrived this morning, thankfully that was is fine, apart from a few light scuff marks on the roof, but nothing major, I found this on the Internet about the early and later bodyshells, the early one is on the left, the corrected one is on the right

You have an impressive model collection. Didn't realize Revell produced a '57 Chevy convertible. Something I might have to add to my collection.

Thank you, that's not even a 1/4 of the stash, a lot are boxed up and stored down in the flat in London,  it took me a while to track down the 57 Bel Air convertible, a model you just don't find this side of the pond.

Seems to fall together, looks a very well engineered kit. German engineering through and through! This was a thoroughbred car, just so perfectly engineered (reminds me of the Austin Allegro, a close second). Makes a great subject.

The Austin Allegro would have been a much different and better looking car if the bean counters hadn't insisted that the E series engine from the Maxi had to be used in the 1500 and later 1750 which brought the bonnet height up, i worked for British Leyland and later Austin Rover, I could list so many projects that the bean counters ruined.20210130_112115.jpg.4c8d54d6608daa7c696195b7ce36527f.jpg

Here in America, we speak (many flavors of) American English. Have you noticed, for example, that the British almost never pronounce the letter R, unless it's at the beginning of a word? The word "world" is pronounced by a Brit "wuld." I've often wondered why they even keep the letter in their alphabet, since they never use it. I don't say "He was one of the great leaders of the wuld" just because I happen to be talking about Winston Churchill. B):D

Because if you removed the R out of World you'd end up with Wold, in Britain it means a piece of High,Open uncultivated land or Moor.
