No offense intended, Avenger, but it looks like ###### from my end. The pics are really outta focus from here when I look at them. Might be something from my end based on the accolades you are getting from others on the list. Could you resend or something? I really can't see what you have posted as far as pics are concerned. Maybe have someone else take some pics and repost? TimP

GREAT JOB!!! As mentioned in other posts, I don't think the wires are the way to go on this build, but they do look good. I really like the way you did your Alison detailing and all. I'm keeping this as a reference for my allison build. Excellent work! TimP

Nice build!!! You did a great job on a difficult kit. I like your attention to detail. TimP

1960s Twin-engined Dragsters
Tim Pentecost replied to FenderMender's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Oh, OK. I just wondered was all. The 2 cars I mentioned were "rekitted" when I got them. Pieces are missing from both. I thought that, someday, I might restore them to original condition and then do another build of them using the skills and technology we have today. Then I'd display them together, sort of a 'then and now' type. OR maybe not. TimP -
Hey, I like it!! I've got several of those bodies, myself. I actually have one started! Now that I've seen how nice it looks, I may have to drag mine out again. LOL TimP

1960s Twin-engined Dragsters
Tim Pentecost replied to FenderMender's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
WOW!!! Way cool! So what are your plans for them? Leave as is, restore 'em, or do a clone using your skills you have today. None of my stuff survived intact from then. I only have 2 pieces that made it, a '32 Vicky and a '57 Chevy. TimP -
Hello Mike, I kinda wondered where you were hiding out at! <VBG> Good to see you here, too! Tim

[Now that is way cool!!!! Really bitchin'. Excellent work on it, too. TimP

Now I kinda like that! Alter the wheelbase and I'd absolutely LOVE it!!!! :-) TimP -
Hi Wayne, Thanks for the kind words. Some of that detail came with the diecast chassis. But, not to sell myself short, I did add a lot of stuff to it. :-) TimP
-
Thank you, Mike. Just remember that all the detail isn't mine. I did start with a diecast chassis. TimP
-
Thanks, Jeff. Glad you like it. TimP

Guys, Here are some pics of an Altered I built for friend who owns the real deal. I started with a diecast F/C chassis and took it from there. This was supposed to be a 'quick build'. (Yeah, right!) I did modify the resin body to the correct configuration and a bunch of other stuff like adding some plumbing and moving other hoses and wires around. I built the front and rear wings, along with the fuel tank and redid the interior, too. hope you guys like it! TimP

Het Sean!!! Any "tidbits" On '08 Drag Kit Releases??
Tim Pentecost replied to chris coffey's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Chris, You're probably right. However, I'm under the impression that the American Graffitti car is the Ramchargers car. Either way doesn't matter. What I'm really hoping for is a re-release of the 220"wb FED that MPC issued as the Garlits car that I mentioned. I don't care what it is/was called, just somebody put it out there for us!!! You don't even have to put decals in it, all I want is the plastic. <VBG> TimP -

Fuelish Spectator's Nhra Taxi
Tim Pentecost replied to FuelishSpectator's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Aaron, Use solid silver solder. Way more expensive than regular solder, but a little harder(as in, more solid less give). Drill out the ends and touch up the holes with your favorite "exhaust look" paint. TimP -
[i been wanting to build a top fuel hydro ever since you guys had that hydro contest in Arizona many years ago. And now the question Can you help me find one to purchase. Presently emailing to some guy named Jim Richardson who might have a distance connection to a Top Fuel Hydro. Sorry for the delay I been working long hours all week long so I only check in once a week if that.... Fuelish PS... Right when I ask low and behold Don Thune of Reliable Resin posted a 1/25 scale drag boat in Resin Tim I still need you too help me if you can regardless if Don boat comes thru... Fuelish

Thank you for the welcome aboard. And thank you for the kind words about my boat. I think I hurt myself on that one!!! LOL! It looks like some pics of my boat have turned up, thanks to Fuelish Spectator. I found about 3 really (and I do MEAN REALLY, REALLY) bad pics of it. These are so much better. TimP
-
Awww man, I'll bet your stuff is just as good as anyone elses on here. Thanks for the welcome! TimP
-
Hey, I still think it looks great for what you did and the goals ya had in mind when you built this! Not too shabby at all. TimP
-
Kinda what I thought too, Dave. That's one of the reasons I built it. :-) TimP

If you will give me a snail mail address, I will make copies of the magazine articles I have and will send them to you. Would that work for ya? That way you'll have the entire history of the product and how they work. TimP
