Well I'm done with this .... Kind of a fast Build , sorry it's only one photo , my camera , is not focusing well , gonna run out of battery life . today I noticed the grille I just glue was too high , so I took a dremel and cut the grille out , and and filed the sides just a little at the bottom , too lower the grille in the frame , BETTER ! Shouldn't have have use the super glue to seep down in the interior joints , cause the windows are now cloudy , Left the interior molded white , and there's no transmission hump in the interior .... Maybe I'll post more when I have new battries...

Eric Goodrich`s:: "IRON LUNG" - On the Workbench 2/8/16
studebot replied to John Teresi's topic in WIP: Model Cars
I'm guessing the actual car has a old chassis from a 40 ford or something, Just a guess .. Because that front axle looks old!!!!!!!! -
should be a cool looking model!

Wow , that's gotta be Super Rare ! I don't remember a 68 camaro .

My SPACE SHUTTLE
studebot replied to studebot's topic in WIP: All The Rest: Motorcycles, Aviation, Military, Sci-Fi, Figures
Your right the top is not seprate , like yours, mine is paint it , glue it , glue it in the shell .. I got glue on the top glass , but didn't realize it till it dried ! I guess I could take it out and just add some cheap clear plastic from a house hold product ,that still comes in it's clear packaging , if you know what I mean .... -

Not Sure what you mean by the stack ? You should build that shuttle it looks good , although the painting is gonna take some time . That was the hardest , all the masking I did , just crazy , then I did some more masking a second time cause I didn't like the way the paint ( black) bled through the white. My interior was a piece you had to paint and ,glue seats in ,,, then glue into the body of the shuttle... If that helps ,,, Yeah my friend said he paid $80.00 for it, and then he stop working on it , then lost his job, and then needed money , so I bought it for $40. plus got a dodge daytona 1/24 scale charger , maybe I should start working on that , it's got the rear wing , that's 4 foot high . Mike .... Your right no tile on Mine ! -
Built this a while a go! The headers didn't fit great out of the box,So I took square styrene ,glued on cylinder head and then added headers from "Double Whammy" , and viola! Also closed up the cut outs on the wheel base with Bondo , for a clean rocker panel . The parchute kept falling off ,because I glued it under / or behind the trunk , didn't want to ruin paint on trunk lid . So there it is , a 1953 studebaker! Funny Car !

Here's my space shuttle , it's a Monogram Kit , a Friend needed money , so I bought the unfinsh kit ,it's 1/72 in scale so it's HUGE. Still on the work bench ,as it has a satillite ,i guess , and something else for the Bay .. Not happy with the bottom where the nozzle's are , as the top didn't fit snug , so I glued it anyway .. would like to redo that ,but afraid the plastic would break in a irregular shape ,,, So not sure which decals to apply , there's columbia, or discovery decals ....and the shuttle is not glued to the tank , I was getting frustrated with all the painting ,and not building , but I finally got it together......

Here's a PRO Street Studebaker , under glass,,,, Been done for awhile , looks like I short change the floor area in the trunk.......
-
Well here's one under glass , kudo's to my photography teacher who said one time ,to photo something all one color. I've pulled this off the shelf to photograph ! It's been done a while . Looking at it now , I can see pink bondo on the dash top . I have to take a picture of the chassis. All I did was cut the rear frame rails ,move them in ,and short the diff, added wider tubs for the slicks, the front chassis , add a new frame section , also wanted a metal axle in the front so the tires would roll . Added styrene under the blower to get height, Maybe lengthen the blower a bit. Really more pictures should be added......

Well I pin stripe the white , just gonna leave it the way it is. Not gonna go for the nashty look , not the right car , Paint isn't right , but it is what it is! Hope you like it! Too bad it's not a real car. Mike

31 Nash: way beyond "Rat Fiink" Coupe: new project 5/9/13
studebot replied to John Teresi's topic in WIP: Model Cars
wow , You Built an incredible model .... -
Well ,here's the green on the body , if I'm wrong to post the magazine picture , I won't do it again. I'm thinking bordering the green paint with white pin stripe or yellow. Wondering how to apply the black shading , I'll get it maybe.
-
So I painted the gold , didn't turn out the way I was expecting , but i went in knowing this is a paint from a actual car , my impala ,so wasn't really sure if it was a Laquer, or enamel . The blue is striping tape , that will reveal the gold , I'm going to somewhat re create the paint from the Nashty T , a car on the overkill cover magazine, ...
-
Worked alittle on the Coupe today , not sure if it's gonna turn out like the Nashty Coupe , but I'll keep plugging away . Gotta work on the interior so get going!
-
So here's what I want to work on next . Engine is from avenger funny Car, also the slicks , if you bought the overkill Magazine , a couple of years ago , there's a 30 nash coupe with the engine jacked up in the frame , wanta try that this time around. My first the 32 wasn't creative enough , so this one will be. Macro this time with the camera.
-
I think your on your way to a cool Model.
-
-
So I'm just learning now " how to take pictures with this camera" for model cars . Macro ,I'll have to look for that ... ? The gold one is an earlier project ,that the trunk lid is on Hinges , but has to be redone . If you bought a real stude ,you can't fit a wide tire on the back , so that's what I did with the gold one . Have to give J Phillips a shout out ,thanks for the back rims on the gold one ... Sorry I took so long to post this picture, So on the road racer it has a opening trunk , much better job opening and closing, and battery in trunk , the car also has a ice chest in the back of the interior , for cooling the driving suit . ( If you wear one) also has a make shift accusump oil acculmaltor , that would be hard to phtograph as the interior is glued in place. Friday I cut the transmission crossmember to add a deeper piece of crossmember to allow the driveshaft to go through to the rearend. So I added medal axles , ,so the front axle underneath looks chinsy , but I wanted a rolling model , i Have to add lower a arms now to make the front end more presentable. Almost done with the road Racer...........then maybe the 32 ford .....
-
Just almost finshed my 53 studebaker , it's based on a La Carrera Panamerica Racer , wanted to try posting a picture , also used the 66 ford galaxie stock car. So there it is. Had to cut fender wells in front for the 427 ford engine .

Do they still make that dodge revellion ? Maybe I liked one!
-
How about one more! I don't know where to start, except it was maybe 1967 or so. My family always celebrated birthdays, and my cousin came over for a birthday and the whole family thing goin on. And what I liked to do was aked the recent boyfriend if we could go for a ride in his 65 plymouth fury Convertible 4-speed. Well he agreed and my sister and I got to go for a ride, well it was so cool cause your young ,and in a convertible with a 4-speed. He drove it several miles to the park that had a langoon ,and he trounce on throttle alittle. Just to cool. Or my dad used to work at the local Chevy dealer as a salesmen ,and a couple times he would bring home for lunch a corvtte. And old 61 or so ,and I would go outside and get inside and look around and the 4-speed ,just a good time. How about the time the place to cruise was the ave in downtown, by this time it was 1973 and were crusin in my brothers 67 mustang. And then in the other lane was a early camaro ,tunnel ram ,two hollys and loud, and this guys got a chick with him,and my brother asks his friend to ask the guy what class he runs in. I don't remember what he said, or do I ,maybe he said he didn't run in any class. But that camaro was built-up!

you should push the grille in deeper,
