Well, that was a long vacation. Last year wife had an idea to take the RV to Florida for the winter. This year the same. Since I generally model in the winter season, guess what....
Got back early this year and about to finish this dirt bag up. Here may be a few new photos....gotta finish it for the model show on Sunday at Macomb Community College....

I built that kit a few years ago. It was a bit misaligned for sure. I am sure you will do a great job at this, and am watching the build. I think I will take a look at my model and see how bad it really is

Nice, I am building this model, but not to your level of detail. Keep showing your work, I enjoy it!
Also, I have used that yellow Tamiya tape. It leaves a residue on painted surfaces and distorts the clear or paint. Do you have the same problem?

You could rebuild this quite nicely. I believe newish unbuilt kits are available, still wrapped from Tamiya, and aftermarket decals are available to resurrect this one.
I rebuilt the Ferrari 312B that was in worse shape than this, and it turned out very nice.
Go for it!

Nice model of a fun subject! And thanks for the WB information that I never realized.
Tell me, why the resin model body over one of the AMT or other injection molded kit bodies? I don't like the wheel openings of some of the injection molded Chevelles, but thought it fixable....
Very nice thanks for sharing!

I need some white decal on a sheet, that I can use to cut and apply to a RED paint finish on my Ford GT model.
I thought of masking the white primer, but think good COVERAGE white decal paper may be the best solution over red.
Anyone have any thoughts on what currently available decal paper may work over red? I do not want to print on it, just cut it to fit the lines down the hood/roof/rear deck of a 2006 style Ford GT.

I got the cold shoulder from the wife...

Awesome! As a rally addict I am watching 😄

I had to remove mine and install a manual gate. The micro mark booth could not overcome the backdraft spring, even after I cut the spring to lower the force to open it. So make sure to check for that.

Nice work Ian. Keep it up!

Guys. I won’t get this done this year. I have been interrupted on the build with a vacation with my wife. So I can’t bring this model and all the proper tools along with me.
sorry.

Welcome James, that is an ambitious undertaking for a third model build! I will be watching and encouraging you on as this looks like a nice car to model. There may be parts from Spotmodel that you can get for hood pins, lights, wheels, etc and are on your side of the ocean.
Bring it on, let's see your progress!

Nice! I like the Norm Nelson decals!!! Bobby Unser drove a Chris Vallo purple Road Runner to a win at the Milwaukee Mile back in the day if I remember correctly. That was the first of the "mystery" money men that I can ever remember in racing. Now it seems pretty common to get funny munny in racing these days!

Wow! Didn't think anyone would ever build one of these! The one I have is molded in weird metallic green. This looks great and you did a darn nice job making this model look like good. People seem to dismiss this model, and thanks for bringing your talents to this forum.

Love the light dusting and weathering. Good dry Acropolis replica! I love Group A. I have three real cars that are homologation specials. Good work.
