I got the kit on ebay awhile back for 75 bucks. Now they are going for 200. Someone had started to assemble it but it was easy to repair. Its an original casting from 1972. The best way to tell the year of the kit is to look at the license plates on the decal sheet. I shortened the frame and dumped the 318 Detroit for a Cummins in-line 6. Thanks for the paint idea but I want to go with something more along the line of O/O design.

I'm currently building an old 4070A and am in dire need of ideas for a paint scheme. Does anybody have any pics or can point me in the right direction on the net for a site that has color pics of old Internationals. My problem is I live in Germany and don't get to see the old trucks anymore. I've lived here for 30 years now and my memory ain't what it used to be. You guys were so helpful on my last problem (3408 Cat engine) that I came back here for more help. Thank again, Rod.

Yep its me. At the moment I'm not building. I crushed the end of my middle finger ( left hand ). Docs got me on some serious painkillers and they make me feel wacky. Thanks to the other responders I really appreciate the info and will be staying in touch.

I need help in locating a resin reproduction of a 3408 Cat engine. Does anybody out there know of any resin casters that have done this engine. I'm trying to build a model of my Dads Transtar II from the 70's and need a Cat powerplant. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
