Not sure where to put this...just a silly "survey" for myself. Which of these 5 models would you pick to be first place if you were a judge at a contest? Yes, one is mine...be honest, it doesn't matter...just which one is your favorite? I'm curious...😁

Thank you guys!!! Was my first rat!!! 😁
-
Thank you slusher! It's a '30 😉😁

Hummm, my written response disappeared?! Anyway, I finished this at 2am this morning...10-11-2025, so I could get it to the contest today in Hobart IN at the Moose Lodge. It placed 3rd in it's class. I started with a Revell 1930 Model A Ford Coupe. I added printed parts...a Boss 429 with fuel injection and a 4 speed top loader trans. Bomber seats, brass knuckle shifter, steering wheel, and artillery wheels and tires. All from MCV Products. I tried to weather it without being a dirty rust bucket. I need to learn weathering better coz I'm not that good at it.

It's titled rat rodded 30 Ford Coupe...😁

Well, I started a wip...uh, I didn't take anymore photos coz I was trying to get it finished for today's contest... it's done and pics are in the "models cars" section...😁 I finished it at 2am this morning...🥴🥱🫣

Well NOBLNG and mk11, I'm not sure the exact scale, it was listed on their website as 1/25th...it does look huge but I got it in there!!! No photos this time coz I haven't worked on it for a couple of days. 🫤

That trans tunnel is part of the trans tunnel from a Testors Chezoom kit, plastic strips, and part of a sharpie marker cap! Oh yeah, also a bunch of super glue!!! 😳😬🥴 Yes, I copped a buzz from the fumes!! 🥴🤤🥲😁
-
Actually so far, that's been the hardest part!
-
Wow! I never thought about that! 😳
-
Update...had to scratch build a transmission tunnel...geez, was pretty hard trying to find something to start with...needed to close off the trans, big open area wouldn't hold any oil !! 🥴 Got the steering arm lengthened and control arm on the front end. Also added the finned brake drums front and rear. Put the steering wheel on the column. I filled the gaping hole in the firewall...that I sanded smooth after filling the recess in the middle of it. Still got a lot to do...trying to get it done by Oct. 11th...got a contest in Hobart IN at the Moose Lodge hosted by IPMS. I kinda want it done by the 7th, which is my local club meeting night! 😳😬 Not sure about that!!?? Oh well, some pics...

I see what you mean... it's just laying on there right now... it's just taped together right now... I still have to monkey with final forms...yeah, those shocks are pretty cool! Thanks for the kudos!!! 😁
-
That's what I have in mind...🤔😁 Another small update... Got it down to where I want the ride height, messing with the front suspension...also, I gotta raise the motor mounts coz the trans is WAY too close to the ground! I did put together some RB Motion coil overs for the rear

Not sure if I've shared this? This is Johan's Dragon Lady 69 AMX. It's built curbside, slapped a different set of wheels on it, hit with some Tamiya paint, and cleared it. My Wife took the shots and put a cool background in it...looks real !!!

You guys are funny! Thank you! Small update...I started the suicide front end...what a pain, I've never built one...also got the rear down a bit too... it's a slow process! Yes, I will use the seat pads, I don't want sore red circles on my butt! 🤣😂🥴

I don't always do a wip, I just might with this one. I'm starting with Revell's 1930 Model A Coupe. I have 3D printed parts from MCV Products such as...bomber seats, steering wheel, brass knuckle shifter, and a bad boy Boss 429 with fuel injection and a top loader 4 speed trans. I'm in for a bunch of hacking things coz that top loader is HUGE! On the seats...whatcha think? Pads or no pads on 'em?? I just started with it, Ace-Garageguy helped me out with some photos of a suicide front suspension for this ride...thanks man!!! 😁 I have printed tires and wheels...I don't remember who I got them from... either MCV, or mean machine models. Anyway, here's a few photos to start...😳🥴😁

That's freekin AWESOME Ace!!!! Thanks bro!!!!

This is the victim... Revell's 1930 Model A Coupe. Gonna use some 3D printed Artillery wheels, bomber seats, steering wheel, and shifter. Yeah, gonna be my first rat rod! Probably a "bare metal" look with some surface rust. This is the monster that I plan on stuffing in it...a Boss 429 with fuel injection and a top loader 4 speed trans! Wish me luck!

Wow! Thank you guys!!!! That's just what I was looking for! You guys are awesome!!!!
