  1. maybe get one of those lighters with the flexible heads, but im not sure how you can install 2 on a model and make em ligth at the same time,,, good luck
  2. ya i got it figured out. i had to cut the engine block at an angle so that itd sit on the oil pan flush and the tranny would sit on the mount. i couldnt move the tranny mount up cuz obviously itd hit teh floor, and i dont wanna do any more work the i had too. and i had to leave the molded in oil pan on the frame cuz the front suspension mounts to it cuz its got the movable suspension. the frame is from a toyota heilux kit and they didnt have opening hoods. but i got it figured out now and im gonna get the frame and motor in paint tomorrow
  3. got the chassis painted for the 71 gtx, just gotta give it one more coat and detail it and clear also had to fill in the topside of the differenttial and mold it since it was a creator there, still got some work to do to it but its gettin there
  4. should i just shave more off the bottom of the engine block?

  9. and yall know i had to get some group shot pics
  10. got the k-frame done for the 71 gtx. originally after i cut the sway bar and torsion bars off drilled out the hole where the sway bar would go through and its hard to tell but i drilled out the back of the control arm where the torsion bar would go in
  11. and some mock ups, noticed i gotta streatch the frame just a weeee lil bit
  12. well i pulled this off the shelf,,,again, this will be its 3rd redoing. i had a hemi in it, but pulled it out this time for the original motor (from a new kit) and the hemi will go in my tow truck version i got another box, the floor was shot so i cut it out to make my own real wood one and i had gotten the idea to put a spare in the fender, so i tackled that today, still have some work to do but i got the main part done and i had this yota frame sittin here starin at me so i had to put it to good use cut the tranny off and had to shave down the top of the oil pan so i can put a motor on the frame
  13. very sweet truck. glad to not see it raised high enough to give you nose bleeds on big offroad tires lol. also like the use of the yota frame (got the same frame sittin here waitin to go under a LRE ) are you gonna open up the hood or leave it molded shut?

  18. nope v6,,,and them rallies aint stayin on either
  19. i dont go to any model show/contests (there are none around here), but i hear you on the no touch rule. i was at a local car show and there was a beautiful 55 chevy there. i was lookin inside it and the owner was sitting right there so i asked him if the interior with power widows was original he said ya open the door and take a better look, i just said no thanks, its not my car and its a beautiful car. and at the same show, the guy that was running it, came over to me and said that he had stopped a couple kids cuz they were tryin to play with the switches on my 5th ave for the hydros.
  20. anyone know if they make a late 80-early 90s dakota in resin? i wanna build a replica of my 87 on how i want it to turn out when im done with it
