  1. ya the picec around the bottom of the vinyl is sapose to kinda bend up and around the top, but on the model it will just go around the bottom, it wont have the lile "step up" as the 1:1 but whatever, theres only so much i can do, and itll still be the only 5th ave in scale
  2. got the roof trim made up and glued on the vinyl metrial the only problem ive found with the small chrome around the bottom of the vinyl is that i wont be able to get the right bend on it and heres what helps keep me focused and sane
  3. well i wasnt happy with the landu top i was makin, so i said screw it and built another one molded to the body, will put the vinyl on after paint. this is the second coat of putty and i got the diplomat SE grille cross chromed and permanently glued to the grille, still gotta fix the blinker bezels, but you get the idea
  4. haha ya there is quite the differance thats the point, i want it to look like it came that way that why i made it so i can put it back in the box
  5. threw some primer on it to see if i had any more work to do to the header panel and fender vents heres the size comparison of the grill from what it used to be and workin on the diplomat SE grille cross
  6. havent worked on this in a while, but i did manage to get the grille opening ground open and got the grill made also added a wiper motor
  7. got the coffin from a guy on LIL
  8. cuz i wont be putting the rear glass back in, and to put a headliner in i had to grind them down so itll be flat
  9. i still gotta finish mine just got a resin coffin for it last week
  10. did a lil work with the dremel today ground down the nubs on the inside of the roof also got the headlights to fit, gotta do a lil more putty work and redo the blinkers so they look better
  11. i say take some sheet styrene and make the floor with one piece, and set it in ontop of the hump
  12. oh the anntenas are on there. there short, but i extended em out ya i like the pick of mine and the other one, went to target and it just happened to be there, so natural instninct was to take a couple pics and thanks, im tryin to detail it as much as i possibly can
  13. found a pair of long anntenas for the 1/4 panels also got some work done on the engine bay
  14. your in WI too! if they get the new chally kits there, ya gotta pick me up one theres no micheals around here
  15. yes sir thats mine. bought it for $750, and its just a driver to, but i do take it to the local shows, and this year im takin it to the mopars in the park in farmington mn and a goodtimes c.c. picnic/show in milwakee wi.
  16. maybe ill do both chassis so i can swap em back n forth if i want lol. and i realize another reason i hate diecasts, the doors pivot wrong. they go to the outside of the fender instead of inside it, and with the extra louver on the fender vent, the dam door barely opens
  17. oh its gonna pull em in alright
  18. still workin on the color part if i use the AMT chassis, ill get a mirrored bottom display case for it
  19. im startin to see the light at the end of the tunnel,,,ya right, i still got a ton of work to do, but you can get an idea on what to see when finished
  20. thanks. ya the AMT chassis dropped right in. but i dont think ill use it,,,yet i still wanna make it so i can screw it back into the box so it looks like it came from the factory like that lol
  21. id post up pics of a guys GL that i see at all the local shows, but honestly, its not that great. body work sucks (it waves back at you), paint is all orange peeled, chrome isnt the best, his frame "repairs" suck
  22. well zuk mentioned it, so i fixed it, added another louver to the fender vent
  23. ok call me crazy, but im thinkin bout doin a full detail chassis, only thing that sucks is i wouldnt be able to put it back in the original box like i want
  24. this was at Mopars in the Park last year in Farmington MN. this car is from the dukes movie
