  1. Thank you for stopping by Canuck 3D at NNL East! It was nice to put a face to a name. Wylde had a “wild” day! To say it exceeded his expectations is an understatement! We had many “sold out” items. This is an event that he’ll never forget and I owe that to you for making him feel welcomed and his work appreciated!  I had planned on setting up at the MAMAs boys event, but my stock is quite low. This being said, Wylde is coming up with a plan!

Again, thank you for the turn out!

  2. Yo!

    Just to let you know…

Wylde Parnelle of Canuck 3D WILL be at NNL East! I will be at the table with him. He’s coming a distance to experience this, so please give him a warm welcome. He gets to savor the flavors of PA one night with us and we will be at the get together on Friday night. We are all also hanging around Saturday after the NNL! …just to recoup and chat with any stragglers!

Again, I’d like to see this as “his” event… it really is! Lots of new stuff! In addition, I’d like to meet some of the people who I’ve sent stuff to, as well!

Should be a lot of fun!

  3. The X-ram Hemi yanked my chain! I just placed another order. My Texas 3D bin is getting quite full and with this order, I may have to set aside another bin. In addition, I always wanted to do a dirt cheap Nova with a 4 cylinder and Torque Drive. It the same as a Powerglide but manually shifted. My racing buddies had one and it was a scream to drive.
    Without a doubt….Love your stuff.

Couple of Franklin Mint cars had them. I should know as I had them made from my father-in-laws clubs. 60’s- 70’s style. 1:24th scale. I may still have a set laying around if you want to message me.

  5. First of all, I love your product!

My order arrived today and the carbs are phenomenal. The engine is gorgeous. I posted a pic of my Trabant project as a reply to your meme on FB.

If I may suggest, offer a basic engine. Then have a “day 2” kit. Valve covers, intake, carb, aircleaner and headers. You do that with transmissions. It would be fun to order a custom engine by just ordering the partial block and hop up kits.  You could mix things up with the parts without selling individual small parts. Moroso kit, M/T kit, etc.

At FM, I tried to develop variations up front. Tooling was a bit more expensive, but if a variant was required, it could be put into the market in a significantly shorter time. Also meant that all the engineering was done up front with no retro fitting later, at a much higher cost. At GMP, working with my counterpart at the factory, we came up with a matrix of 13 variations from a Mustang tool. Small block, big block, manual, auto, A/C, non A/C. 67/68, fastback, convertible, wheel choices. It was tedious at first, as this was the most aggressive matrix ever. However, once we nailed it….

    Just a thought…

  6. I just saw the reference to the buff article! This method has saved me countless hours of tedious work. Brian shared his saga of the truck over the years and the paint was quite peeled at first. He intrigued me to the point where I had to try it and I was sold. I’ve known Brian since my FM and GMP days. I’m honored to call him my friend. Now you need to get him to show off his ‘57 (?) Ford build! It’s subtle but also outstanding!

  7. Ric Golding was my “go to guy” for accessories and concept models when I was at Franklin Mint. I have drawers full of his stuff. If he does not have it, contact me and I will see what I have left! However, you must contact him first! He was a huge asset in helping me create some memorable product at FM!

Thank you Ric and enjoy retirement!
