Native to MA retired to FL. Been building since mid '60s, started out with AMT,Revell,Monogram,Hawk, Polar Lights. I think my first car was an AMT Pontiac with the metal axels. I do remember installing the axel into the wheel hub with my fathers claw hammer, madec sure it was in there! At about 12 years old I stopped that method and started learning more proper modelling techniques. I also stopped about that time using Testors tube glue for filling gaps. Fast forward to late 70s early 80s and I got back into modelling after a short hiatus, got away from brush painting, learned to mask and use rattle cans. Still at it today but have improved to using wet sanding, pin vises, Micro Sol and Set and banished my 20 oz. claw hammer to "home repairs" only.
