  1. Model no. 2, The Dodge Doug (1:16), after my initial Jungle Jim gluebomb. Pretty sure I upped my game with this one. Some goofy setbacks, like spraying my seat with white primer when it was supposed to be clearcoat. In that last picture, the only way I could put a straight decal onto a curved surface was by cutting out each letter individually. This beginner was also kinda proud in being able to glue the pesky brake housings together without sticking to the brake drum, so that the wheels could still roll freely. (That's lighting glare, btw, on that goofy left wingtop)
  2. Thanks! Yeah, I'm sure that third obstacle should also be knocking at my door soon. (intentionally left a mess on the pins considering they'll get covered by tubing) (heh, as long as the mess doesn't IMPEDE the tubing)
  3. Noob, on model #2 (Tony Nancy's 1/16 Sizzler dragster), getting four-coloured funky with the fuel pump and fuel control valve. (No idea WHY I am.) Might make that "my thing" (yeah I've seen that done elsewhere). Good exercise for shaky hands and not the best eyes.
  4. Sincere thanks for all the welcomes. This likely perma-looker wil need all the support he can get! Steve H. - great Cutlass - the old man's every day car was a British Racing Green '66 convertible with original white leather interior (which he sold early '90s - shuddering to think of its mortality). Deep diving into a 1/16 Sizzler dragster. Where's that damn aqualung. https://www.google.com/search?q=1/16+tony+nancy+sizzler&rlz=1C1CHBD_enCA835CA835&sxsrf=AJOqlzWQ3gpDZHu1hGSJdlGg3qg_ylPbxQ:1677037686048&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwj447ScnKj9AhU3IDQIHeclA64Q_AUoAXoECAEQAw&biw=834&bih=564&dpr=1.56 First taping attempt, with the orange/yellow. Just now discovered the amazing awesomeness of those Molotow pens. Worked beyond my expectations.
  5. From a fellow Victorian who doesn't expect to reach your level, um, ever - very impressive, especially that olive British beast. You're one of many here I hope to learn from.
  6. First time back at this since, oh, '79? Hope to pick up a few pointers here. Below is my Jungle Jim hatchet job. Got a half hour to waste?
