  2. Good progress on Eleanor in The Model Shop. Using a Tamiya panel line scriber and Xacto blades while listening to some good ol' classic rock, the donor kit interior door panels were removed and the USCP resin kit door panels are in pre-fit position.
  3. Thank you for your response. As I fiddle with placing the door panels inside, I agree that they are likely replacements in that if I use them as "covers" the dashboard will not fit properly and other fitment issue might occur. FYI, the USCP resin kit body and pieces are nicely molded with little flashing to remove during the prep phase. The resin material is firm and durable when handling and cutting / shaping. The engine bay opening, front and rear window openings required me to remove resin strip supports which concerned me that they might cause body cracking upon cutting and removal. But patience and carefulness permitted removal of these strips without incident.
  4. Hello Everyone, I am in the beginning stages of my first "Trans-Kit" build. I am planning to build a close replica of Eleanor, the movie car from "Gone in 60 Seconds". I have purchased the 1967 Shelby GT 500 resin kit from USCP and the donor kit; Revell (of Germany) 1967 Shelby Mustang GT 500 H. The donor kit will be used primarily for the engine/drive train, suspension and interior. The resin kit came with interior door panels. For those of you who might have experience with this type of build, do I remove the styrene door panels from the interior of the donor kit and replace them with the resin door panels or do I fit the resin door panels in front of the original door panels? I might have addition questions and updates along the way so stay tuned.
  5. Thank you for the feedback. I didn't know this product existed. ?
  6. Hello, I'm prepared to apply decals to a Revell Pro Modeler Series Daytona Charger. It appears the kit release year is 1998. However, the decals are extremely delicate and are tearing or cracking as I peel them off the paper backing. Can someone advise me about a method to prepare the decal set to avoid the rips and cracks? Thank you, Dan W.
