Beautiful build! I learned to drive in a 63 Chevy II the same color with bench seat. Lot of good memories driving it. I've got a 64 Möbius kit partially build. Thanks for sharing pics!

Thanks Michael! I didn’t know. Thanks for the photo as reference! Appreciate the knowledge. Rick

For the seat pattern inserts I did a google search for red plaid images. Scaled it to size I wanted and printed on plain paper. After glue dried I shot it with dullcoat.

Well, bad typing day. 1953 not 1853 LOL.

This old kit was a tough one. Lots of flash and numerous fit issues. I initially was going to make this an old beater parts truck but decided to go this route instead. Not my best build but it was fun.

Thanks for the kind comments. It was a Revel kit. Rick

Wow….awesome build and photography! My first car was a worn out 67 MG Midget. Loved that car. I wish I could find a model of it….. great build and weathering. Takes me back in the day.

Thanks for the kind comments!

Just finished this one. It's an old AMT kit from around 2003. I found a hobby shop that had a number of old kits from a modeler who had passed away and his wife had brought them in to sell on consignment. I was inspired by post on this forum by Bernard Kron. I liked his use of the cove on the sides for use of contrasting. color. Rick

I agree Bill, needs more tools. Will have to work on that and do some weathering. It's a bit too sparkly clean. No experience in weathering but will search the forums for tips. I do have a 53 F-100 in my stash that I'm going to make a weathered parts truck. P.S. I did a small diorama in about 1970. Photos are lousy but it was fun.

Hi to everyone! I made scale models in my teens but stopped. I started again when retiring at the end of 2019 and it kept me entertained during the COVID lockdowns. I've picked up some new techniques (and inspiration) on this and other forums. Thanks, Rick

I built this diorama last year. I modeled as a kid and got back into it after retiring (and COVID lockdowns). All are models except the Talledega, which is a die cast.
