  1. I am still working on my spray booth but I have been getting some parts organized and ready to paint!  I got my wheels glued together over the weekend!  As soon as my exhaust fan arrives for the booth, I am going to sprat the wheels gloss black and then try my hand at airbrushing SMS Hyperchrome on them!  Hopefully they look sweet when I'm done!  I am kinda side building the Revell kit also as I will be painting some parts for it at the same time...that's why I have 2 sets of Cragar Mags!  I'm pretty excited about the deep dish offsets for the rear!  It should look pretty cool!

  2. I just can't stop looking at these photos!  I had to look back through StokesModels activity and find other projects and I was not disappointed!!  This MG in-particular shows even more of the diorama detail!  Just look at the detail on the pump curb, the door dings on the yellow pump barriers and the ripped edge on the paper towel dispenser!  Keep in mind, this is all 1/25 scale!  What really sold the Mach 1 for me was the reflections of the house and trees in the paint!  The bar has been set!  Amazing work indeed!

  3. Looks GREAT, Rex!  I love the color!  I'll be starting my AMT soon and then this Revell after that.  I'm still gathering supplies, ordering parts and building a spray booth in my basement!  Your build is giving me more inspiration to get a move on it, LOL!  Well done!

Is it like a BBE sonic maximizer?  I’m not familiar with the 3bx.

I think they are similar, I'm not real familiar with the BBE.  The 3BX is a dynamic range expander...basically, it increases the range between the quietest note and the loudest note and gives the listener more control over that expanded range in order to fine tune the perfect sound!  This helps restore the compression that occurs when music is recorded to a medium.

Nice system. I really like that dbx 3BX!

I absolutely love the 3BX!  I have run them on every sound system that I have owned since I was a DJ back in the 90's!  The 3BX can really pick up a flat track and make it sound like you are in the same room with the band!  It's great with vinyl, tapes, radio and especially streaming which I listen to a lot!

Cool stuff!  I love the Cerwin Vegas.  I have two older pairs myself.  Great speakers.👍

Yes indeed...those AT12's pound like crazy!  Great highs and mids too!

That is a couple of nice Mustangs. Don't know much about audio, but that looks to be a killer system.

Thanks!  It is a house shaker!  The Mustangs are both Jada diecast.  I am thinking about painting the 73 to look like my 71 but it has a totally different front grille.

Nice set up! I have been recently searching for late 70's early 80's Pioneer component car audio, separate amp, tuner, etc.

I used to run all that stuff in the early 90's!  I had a few kick-ass component systems in my cars back in the day.

  7. I am a big vintage audio fan!  I refuse to pay over inflated prices for Pioneer and Marantz but I do collect Sony, Kenwood, Technics and other vintage audio gear!  Here are a few shots of my current system!

Is this kit 1/25th or 1/24th scale?         Could not make it out from the box set in initial post.

This has been an interesting build resulting in a really nice finished model.

    1/25 scale

Awesome!  I can't wait to start my Revell kit..but I am practicing on the AMT kit first, LOL!

  9. It is easy to fall down the high detail rabbit hole, I know I did!  I am also new to model building but I have a solid background in graphic arts so I trust my abilities to paint and build but I am more worried about the micro size details that I want to add!  I will say that on my first few models, details will be above average but I won’t be going super crazy with intricate detail at first!  My old eyes an fat fingers may not even allow it!  Upgraded parts and engines along with basic wiring and piping will be my focus at first!
