  1. Nice! Makes me wanna pull that movie up and watch it again!
  2. Thanks! I hope I can do a good job with the SMS process!
  3. I am still working on my spray booth but I have been getting some parts organized and ready to paint! I got my wheels glued together over the weekend! As soon as my exhaust fan arrives for the booth, I am going to sprat the wheels gloss black and then try my hand at airbrushing SMS Hyperchrome on them! Hopefully they look sweet when I'm done! I am kinda side building the Revell kit also as I will be painting some parts for it at the same time...that's why I have 2 sets of Cragar Mags! I'm pretty excited about the deep dish offsets for the rear! It should look pretty cool!
  4. Why not have pad printed white walls with black walls on the other side? If you don't want white walls, just flip them and use the black walls?
  5. That's one clean bug! I grew up with Volkswagen's...my Dad was a independent VW mechanic and worked on all the Bugs, Ghias, wagons & buses in the area! There was always a VW of some type at our shop! Lots of memories! I see Revell has a 68 Bug model kit out...You should try to build a replica!
  6. I just can't stop looking at these photos! I had to look back through StokesModels activity and find other projects and I was not disappointed!! This MG in-particular shows even more of the diorama detail! Just look at the detail on the pump curb, the door dings on the yellow pump barriers and the ripped edge on the paper towel dispenser! Keep in mind, this is all 1/25 scale! What really sold the Mach 1 for me was the reflections of the house and trees in the paint! The bar has been set! Amazing work indeed!
  7. I joined a couple forums, Reddit and Facebook groups and for the most part, I gotta say...modelers are all pretty well behaved and super helpful to one another! It's a refreshing change from most of the social media drama that goes on everywhere else!
  8. That is awesome! You should be working in the TV or movie industry because your skills are amazing! I thought I was looking at the real thing for a minute!! Great job!!
  9. Love it! Fun, crazy build but done so tastefully! Good job!
  10. I’m still putting my model space together, but it’s getting there!
  11. Looks GREAT, Rex! I love the color! I'll be starting my AMT soon and then this Revell after that. I'm still gathering supplies, ordering parts and building a spray booth in my basement! Your build is giving me more inspiration to get a move on it, LOL! Well done!
  12. I think they are similar, I'm not real familiar with the BBE. The 3BX is a dynamic range expander...basically, it increases the range between the quietest note and the loudest note and gives the listener more control over that expanded range in order to fine tune the perfect sound! This helps restore the compression that occurs when music is recorded to a medium.
  13. Thanks! Sometimes I think I'm obsessed with collecting yellow 71 Mach 1 stuff but it's too much fun to quit now, LOL!
  14. I absolutely love the 3BX! I have run them on every sound system that I have owned since I was a DJ back in the 90's! The 3BX can really pick up a flat track and make it sound like you are in the same room with the band! It's great with vinyl, tapes, radio and especially streaming which I listen to a lot!
  15. Yes indeed...those AT12's pound like crazy! Great highs and mids too! Thanks! It is a house shaker! The Mustangs are both Jada diecast. I am thinking about painting the 73 to look like my 71 but it has a totally different front grille. I used to run all that stuff in the early 90's! I had a few kick-ass component systems in my cars back in the day.
  16. I am a big vintage audio fan! I refuse to pay over inflated prices for Pioneer and Marantz but I do collect Sony, Kenwood, Technics and other vintage audio gear! Here are a few shots of my current system!
  17. 1/25 scale Awesome! I can't wait to start my Revell kit..but I am practicing on the AMT kit first, LOL!
  18. I wish we could get a 71-73 Coupe kit! I used to have a 72 Coupe in Anniversary Gold with a brown vinyl roof!
  19. Looks like some fun builds! I got to see some of these old war birds fly in real life at an airshow a few years ago! The did some simulated bomb runs and dog fights also! It was a blast! Definitely on my list after I get tired of cars, LOL!
  20. It is easy to fall down the high detail rabbit hole, I know I did! I am also new to model building but I have a solid background in graphic arts so I trust my abilities to paint and build but I am more worried about the micro size details that I want to add! I will say that on my first few models, details will be above average but I won’t be going super crazy with intricate detail at first! My old eyes an fat fingers may not even allow it! Upgraded parts and engines along with basic wiring and piping will be my focus at first!
  21. Here is what I am working with so far! I am going to add an exhaust fan and a filter so I can vent it out my basement window! I think is gonna work pretty good! Any large projects can go outside!
  22. Lookin' good! I am hoping for a 4th gen Ram 1500 model someday! They were made from 2012-2019 but still no model kits to be found!
