  1. Hey Michelle, nice work! Here is something you need for you KITT builds!! https://evandesigns.com/products/knight-rider-light-circuit How cool would that be! ?
  2. Nice! Those look really good!
  3. Thanks! Yes, I am just looking for some ideas and inspiration!
  4. My Mach 1 has traction bars on the rear axle so naturally, I want to add them to the replicas I am building! Question is, should I just glue them on the bottom of the leaf springs or should I go all out and use thin wire to mimic u-bolts? I am curious to see some photos from you guys, if you don't mind sharing! I looked at a lot of Under the Glass threads but I haven't noticed 1 set of slapper bars yet! Here is my actual 1:1 Here is the resin parts I am looking at for the builds... An and all advice is greatly appreciated!! ?
  5. Ok...I ordered up some Iceman resin wheels 8mm front and 10mm back plus AMT pad printed rubber tires to match. I bought enough for the Revell build a well! I also got some SMS Hyper Chrome to paint them with! Looks like a fun process to do and I will get to use my airbrush! I also picked up some BSI Super Gold + CA glue to try! Heard lots of good about it too! It's going to be like Christmas morning next week and all this stuff starts showing up! I also have a little surprise coming from Josh at VCG Resins by Reese! I'll be upgrading my Ford 302 Small Block game to some resin goodness on the next Revell Mach 1 conversion build! Just take a look at this: It comes with a nice C4 Transmission also! I'll be doing a write up on this set up later! But if you are in the market for resin...check out Iceman Collections and VCG Resins by Reese! I am not affiliated with either both both of these guys have great products and excellent customer contact/service! I recommend them highly! I'm loving this hobby and I haven't even built anything yet! I am a parts guy by profession so I am enjoying the hunt for the perfect parts but this a lot cheaper than car and big rig parts, LOL!
  6. My friend at the Museum came through with some photos of Jim Etter models on display att he Mack Museum in Allentown, PA! Enjoy...
  7. I just ordered some SMS Cold Tone from Iceman...it has lots of positive reviews on Youtube now and personally, I like the stainless look of it! I often think that kit chrome is too bright and makes a scale build look toyish. This stuff looks more "to scale" on models! I am going to paint some wheels and some small engine parts with it! I'll keep every one posted!
  8. I am friends with the Mack Museum's Curator, I'll have to shoot him a message and see if he has any AIM models in the museum in Allentown!
  9. Hey guys, I had an awesome artist from Russia make a cartoon version of my yellow Mach 1 many years ago! He only charged me $10 if I allowed him to sell it on the royalty free sites which sounded good to me! It turned out so good, I had him do a few trucks for work projects also! Just something fun to look at! This was the actual photo I sent him! Here is one of the truck...Mack B61
  10. Yes, the B-Model was built from 1953 to 1966 and stayed relatively the same throughout its production. The B-Model could share the frame, suspension, exhaust, fuel tanks and engine from an R-Model kit with just a few minor changes. The cab and front clip are different.
  11. Sweet! It looks really good! I hope mine turns out that nice!
  12. Nice! what engine you got there?
  13. Nice! This truck looks like a B81 style 'hard nose' radiator but it has B61 style fenders...I think it is a B61SE I agree! I am surprised that there aren't any kits out there! The B-Model Mack was revolutionary in 1953 when it was introduced! There was nothing like it and it is still highly collectible today! I ship restoration parts for them all over the world daily!!
  14. Cool! I gotta dig into this site but in general, what do you do with resin cab kits? I see it says First Gear conversions so I am thinking you can convert a First Gear diecast into one of these resin kits? Very interesting! I have a bunch of First Gear stuff in Diecast! Yes, one kit would cover 1953 to 1966 for a B61! They were all very close except that the wiper motor was outside the firewall after 1960!
  15. So, I work for a Mack Truck dealer and I want to get a new model commissioned! I have never seen a 1953-1966 Mack B61 Model on the market so I think that would be a great model to get produced! I even found a beautiful scale 3D file on Turbosquid! Is there other productive avenues to pursue to get a new model produced? Anyone here in the "Business?" This would be a big seller for sure! I also Admin a big Mack Truck support forum and we have a pretty large model building crowd! Plus my dealership sells restoration parts for Mack Trucks all over the world! I can move some product, I just need a reputable model company to step up and bring it to market!!
  16. Looks pretty awesome! That should mean something coming from this hardcore Mack guy!
  17. Great detail! I love it!! Nice job!
  18. That looks pretty authentic!
  19. I bet that not many model builders have sourced 302 Ford Small Block engines to swap into their models! I did, LOL! My 1:1 has a 302 bored out to 306 with a mild cam so I found these engine kits on eBay to swap into my AMT build and my future Revell Mach 1 conversion! These 302's were found in the Revell '32 Ford 3 window coupe kit. I liked them because the valve covers and air cleaner are very similar to my car as well!
  20. Man, the level of detail presented in many of the builds with in this forum are insane! I love it! Definitely sets the bar high for a beginner like me, LOL!
  21. That is very helpful! I haven’t seen any soft tires on resin wheels until now and they look great! The L60’s have to be 15x10, any wider would be drag tires, LOL! I’d love to see a pic of 15x10’s though. Thank you!!
  22. That looks real close to my Mach 1...I bought some Tamiya TS16 Yellow for the model! Hopefully it matches close! I also have some TS47 Chrome Yellow but it looks a little darker with almost an orange tint.
  23. Those are FOMOCO Dog Dish hub caps with glamor rings...they were available on several Ford vehicles at the time, the Twister was one, yes! Here is a 1970 Cobra Twister wearing the Dog Dishes!
  24. That looks GREAT! What paint/color did you use? I just ordered some Tamiya TS16 Yellow for mine.
  25. Awesome! I think I am going to order some Iceman resin (with deep dish rears)
