Will do, thanks man!

Thanks everyone. It is a fun for me working on these kinds of cars for sure.

The more I think about, the more I agree. Thanks

yes, it is almost a perfect match. I did nave to narrow the PS floor pan almost up to the roll bats on each side but it now fits perfect. So far, everything else looks almost like the SP chassis was made specifically for this Nova kit.

Hey guys. go easy on me here, LOL. I am 55 and haven't modeled much since I was a kid. I am and always modeled the drag cars and I am seeing now all these years later that same interest/desire is still burning although i would call it now days more of a dim glow. Too many medical issues now to dedicate time and ability to this hobby but I won't go into all that. So, here is my attempt to bring some drag racing life back into an old relic. I know there have been some on here who do not like the quality of this AMT kit but for my taste and standard, I am ok with it. From a drag racing perspective the fact that the front end is separate from the body is a very desirable option. Obviously, I still have a long way to go on this one but I am very pleased where I am at this stage. I will post updates as I find time to work on it which is not very consistent for me. I am always open to constructive criticism and ideas. Thanks Yes, the complete chassis is a modified version of the STP Pro Stock Firebird. I am not sure I will use this engine, just threw it in there for the photo. I will probably be 3D resin printing something with a blower soon.

Thanks guys, just the info I was looking for. I know it is kind of a far fetched idea but I wanted to hear others input. The reasoning is that these types of kit are rather hard to find and when I do find them, they tend to be rather expensive. I was hoping to find a less expensive alternative in the event I wanted to pursue printing and building the complete line of Pro Stock kits. I wish I had the knowledge and tooling to do the extruded resin like the box kits but I know that would be labor intensive and probably pretty costly as well.

Hey guys. I have been building and customizing kits since i was 5-6. Some 50+ years later my mind still desires to model but i am more picky about the kits I choose to build and those are mostly the Revell Pro Stockers and a few other various drag racing kits. I now have a crazy idea I am needing some perspective on. I have been a CAD designer for most of my life and have also built many 1:1 customs and stock classics. Since I am heavy into extrusion (filament) and resin 3D printing, I was thinking of how I could reproduce some of the Revell Pro Stock kits. Now, to be very clear, I've no desire to violate any copyrights or otherwise. In addition to having a CAD design background, I am a retired police officer so breaking the law is not something i would be interested in although I would only for my personal builds, not resale. Having said that, how would a person go about re-creating let's say the Warren Johnson Pro Stock Olds Cutlass? The filament printers do not produce the fine details that the resin printers do so resin would have to be the only option for me. Would scanning a new box stock kit cards and parts, slice the file and resin print it be an option that would yield at least the same quality detail the original box stock stock Revell kits have? Do any of you have any ideas that would accomplish what I am thinking of? Thanks

Thanks guys. Yes, my bad, it does not have brocks, I was also looking at a garage setting and would have used bricks for that. I will look up model junkyard and see what they have to offer. -
Hey guys I am looking to build I guess what will be a 1:24 or 1/25 scale Texaco Gas Station from the olden days. What are you all using material wise for the walls? I thought about using Balsa sheets and cover with Plastruct brick patterns. I thought about using balsa stick and cover with Styrene. Thought about using paneling boards. Not really sure what would be best for me. I have seen people use many different things but I never knew who well it turned out or how well they liked the material they used. Any ideas?

Would you consider machining me a set of wheels for a fee?

Sorry if i missed it but where did you get the wheels or did you make them?
