  1. Yes to the 275/60/15s I remember building a Stepside version of the 454SS kit and I sanded the back of the grille to make it open . Ill follow this, maybe find this kit to do a version in Hugger orange.
  2. im going to pick up the set of 12 colors and a couple metallics to create with. Do you prime first and what with?
  3. Micheals has great colors in craft paint like the colorshift and pearls.
  4. Craft paint is cost effective for me. If I spend $100+ on quality airbrush kit thats 12 cans of Tamiya spray in most colors Ill need. Maybe if I ever have a basement or shop than Ill try again. Not ideal in halfway house.
  5. Done with airbrush, spray cans win.
  6. Well I bought distilled water but this airbrush is definitely not great, small parts only but brush is quicker. I see why Im partial to spray cans.
  7. Im going to pick up distilled water today and mess with the ratios. Is there a ratio difference between metallics and solids or is it just the consistency I need to watch?
  8. I like it but its supposed to be a maroon color from Tamiya but... April in Canada its too chilly yet to paint outside. Im thinking the maroon stripe. What about sanding acrylic, or just use the QuickShine since its all I have? I enjoy the choices of models, colors or engines etc...
  9. Here's 3 coats nothing else, it's like shark greyish but of metallic. Might look cool with deep red stripe? Just playing around with airbrush.
  10. Trying a solid grey with two small drops of silver metallic
  11. You'll laugh or shake your head but it is a rechargeable compressor kit. So I don't know the pressure.
  12. CraftSmart Could it be because tap water?
  13. This is painted with acrylic craft paint thinned. Any tips?
  14. I just bought a handheld compressor and airbrush for$35 and it works ok, just figuring the adjustments on it.
  15. I sand the letters lightly then use the gel pen lightly following the letters from away from me to toward me Just lightly. Any white on the tire can be taken off with a tooth pick.
  16. I just put a coat of paint on and looped a piece of tape around my fingers an pressed the dash. Might look at other masking tapes texture for wrinkle finishes.
  17. I just used the non sticky side of masking tape to create a texture dash pad for my 1971 Duster kit, it's subtle but I know it's there
  18. Im jealous, Jetstream blue ZR1 with competition grey rims,my dream C6
  19. Maybe Princess Auto has something.
  20. Hey Im looking at getting into airbrushing but at a low cost start. Ive seen on Temu the rechargeable compressor with an airbrush and attachments for $70 Cdn. Would these have the air pressure needed for acrylics?
  21. My favorite is the C6, C4s then C2s, C7 then C8
  22. The paint is dollar store craft stuff applied with a brush since I cant afford an airbrush. I did buy Tamiya Smoke, Flat clear and Flat black yesterday. Need it to warm up to paint outside.
  23. Just finished it It had a few issues with fitment but for not touching a model for around 8 years I'm content with it.
  24. Aggghh..😡Somebody stole my hobby supplies from my mailbox, detail brushes , polishing sandpaper, gel pens and fine detail tape. Now my projects on hold.
